Large Mountain Home Near Crescent, Odell & Crater Lakes. Family Reunion Home!

This cozy mountain home on one acre is high on the mountain above Crescent Lake, but just a short five mile drive to the lake shore of both Odell and Crescent Lakes. And, during the winter, this home is also only 10 miles from Willamette Pass Ski Resort, which makes it possible to take ski breaks or grab lunch back at the house, during a long day at the mountain.

The home layout includes: three bedrooms (2 queen and 1 King), three full bathrooms, a large finished basement with 2 sturdy bunk beds (4 twin beds total), which can sleep up to 10 people comfortably in beds. There is also an inflatable queen mattress that can be used to sleep additional people and a foldable crib for infants.

Other home features include: high speed Starlink internet, hot tub, foosball table, propane fireplace, barbecue, large deck off the dining room, four bicycles, two car garage, DVD player and many DVD movies, and new stove/range. Pet-friendly!

Snowmobile and ATV trails take off from the neighborhood giving you access to hundreds of miles for riding and the world famous Pacific Crest Trail for hiking is 10 minutes away.

Other nearby attractions include:
* Crescent Lake - 10 minutes
* Crater Lake - 1 hour
* Waldo Lake (a lake rivaling Crater Lake in clarity that is open to kayaks and paddleboards) - 30 minutes
* Davis Lake - 30 minutes
* Odell Lake - 10 minutes
* Diamond Lake - 1 hour
* And snowmobile and boat rentals are only ten minutes away!

A FEW PROPERTY NOTES TO CONSIDER BEFORE BOOKING:

* Our cabin is on the side of a mountain and the driveway is steep and tight. Please keep this in mind if you intend to bring a trailer. We would only recommend trailers smaller than 10 feet, like a two place snowmobile trailer or small fishing boat. Parking on the road is not allowed. One possibility is to park larger trailers at Crescent or Odell Lakes.

* Winter Parking: This area gets LOTS of snow in the winter. We do our best to plow the driveway after each large snow, however, please always bring tire chains in the winter! The driveway can be very slick even with a little bit of snow and you could get stuck if you don't have a way to get up the hill. In the event you don't feel comfortable going down the driveway, we do plow out a small parking area at the top of the driveway for 2-3 cars. We have a small cargo sled on the front porch that can be used to carry luggage and food down to the house.

* We do have Google Nest doorbell at the front door to monitor the check-in and check-out process.

* We do allow up to two dogs, but we charge an additional $50 pet stay (not per day or per dog) to assist with the extra cleaning. Please reach out to us if you plan to bring your furry friend.

* We do have a hot tub for guest access, however, we require a $100 REFUNDABLE deposit prior to your stay that can be paid prior to your stay. If the spa looks like it has had normal use, we will gladly refund your $100. However, if the spa looks excessively dirty, we will use the $100 to have our maintenance person clean and refill the hot tub

Family get away
Very nice time. House was clean and well stocked. Neighborhood was quiet with lots of room to walk. Driveway was a little steep but nothing unmanageable. There were even bikes to enjoy. Only issue was an abundance of yellow jackets by the front door area. Fortunately they weren't aggressive and no one was stung, but they were everywhere. Must have been the time of year we visited. We'd totally stay again

Perfect Family Retreat
This mountain home is perfect for a large family with nice separation. The location couldn't have been better for anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature. The house is ideally situated just a short drive from several beautiful lakes, making it easy to enjoy a day of fishing, kayaking, or simply relaxing by the water. What really stood out, though, was the accessibility to ATV trails directly from the cabin. It was incredibly convenient to hop on our ATVs and explore the surrounding wilderness without needing to load up and transport the vehicles elsewhere. For anyone who loves outdoor activities, this location is perfect.

Very nice home close to parks and lakes. Sadly wildfires restricted our use of Crescent Lake and smoke obscured our visit to Crater Lake. Kids did have a blast at Diamond Lake and our son in law found plenty of fishing spots. Pantry seemed a little sparse especially considering that there are no near supermarkets but maybe we have been spoiled at other VRBO houses.

We had a great time at Jeff’s Mountain Home. The home is beautiful, clean, and well supplied. We had a few different friends who stopped in for a visit while we were there, and there was plenty of space for everyone. Property is in good condition. It has the basic necessities it could use a new barbecue. It’s located in a good location away from crowds and traffic. We like the ability to ride atv’s from the house and it’s close to lakes and other scenic attractions.

House was great for a weekend of fishing. Although I would not recommend bringing your trailer/boat if long (20 ft) as driveway steep and narrow. We happily left it at shelter cove as it was close by and the lake we were fishing. We’ll be back.

This was our second time to stay in this home. It is very comfortable, well equipped and just a nice place for 8 ladies as a base for day hikes, or just hanging out as 2 did. We enjoyed great meals prepared in the nice big kitchen, worked on jigsaw puzzles in the living room, and were all together to visit in that Great Room (living, dining and kitchen). So nice to be out in the woods and have all the comforts!! Thanks so much for sharing your home again.

We enjoyed our stay very much nice relaxing. I would suggest winter mo lower rates due to very little parking and have to shovel your way to door and can’t use hot tub. We enjoyed making our own snow area to play. I would put directions on how to find house since google try’s to take you on snowmobile route.

Good for groups, cozy in winter
We rented over New Years and the cabin was a good size for our group of adult friends. Communication with Kayla was positive. Plenty of linens and kitchen amenities. Only negatives were that several of our cars got stuck because google maps took them up a steep hill instead of the evacuation route that was more gradual. Fortunately a friendly neighbor helped out. We also had to hand shovel the top of the driveway and deck (it wasn’t plowed like it said it would be) and there were no snow shovels so we had to use a garden shovel, which took a couple hours. We also weren’t sure what to do with our garbage and recycling. But all in all the stay was wonderful and the cross country skiing nearby was fantastic. For winter months, I would recommend a slightly lower nightly rate if guests are expected to shovel their way in. The cabin was cozy and warm and a delightful way to ring in 2023.

Although the property was almost 1.5 h away from Crate Lake trails, we enjoyed coming back to a warm and comfortable home. The hot tub was very enjoyable after long days of hiking. Kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans and utensils. However, several things could be improved: the quality of bedding was poor. The internet was very slow on day 1 and non-functional on day 2. Note that only one bathroom is en-suit with the MBR. The other two BRs are relatively small and shared a bathroom or had to use the one in the basement. This could be made clearer in the description. Would suggest adding bedside lamps in the MBR and second room.

Great experience!
This was a wonderful trip. Everything was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were very comfortable. The kids had a ton of fun in the “bunk room” and playing basketball. The house is tucked away to feel private, even though it’s close to other houses. The drive to Crescent Lake Resort (where you can rent fun water toys) is very short and it’s a wonderful area. Our only complaint was there was only one air mattress and it had a hole in in. The hosts were willing to come out if needed to make sure we had what we needed and were incredibly fast to respond to our needs. 10/10 would stay there again and definitely want to recommend it to as many people as possible.

Overall a Beautiful Home, Clean,Organized, updated appliances. Owner was very friendly, flexible, accomadating! Our only complaint was it was over 100 degrees & they had a set therastate inside we couldn’t turn down to cool off!! It was hot & hard to sleep @ night even with windows open. Great House - Amazing Stay
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! It had all the amenities that we needed along with plenty of space to enjoy time with family! The property was perfect and even though it snowed, we figured out how to use the steep driveway just fine. We loved every minute of our stay and would highly recommend this home! The pillows and bedding need a bit of updating but other than that 5 stars all the way! We hope to stay here again!
