"Wild Iris" Historic Home in downtown CB, Dog Friendly!

Summary:
3 Bedroom, 2 full bath historic home with a perfect location in the heart of Crested Butte. Pet friendly!

The Space:
This historic 1800s mining cabin is perfectly situated right in the heart of Crested Butte, just one block from restaurants, shopping and the free shuttle to the ski area. It's an inviting log cabin, with lots of character and good sunlight. Hiking and biking trails are steps away. This home has three bedrooms, two full baths (one with Jacuzzi tub). This cozy, comfortable home offers the perfect place for friends and family to gather.

The sunny kitchen has granite counter-tops, a gas cook-top, microwave, and dishwasher. The kitchen flows into a cozy living room with vaulted ceiling, maple floors, and gas log fireplace. French doors open to a south-facing deck, fenced yard, and a fantastic wildflower garden... with great town and mountain views.

The log addition includes two charming rustic main floor bedrooms, a full bath, and a large mudroom with washer and dryer. The mudroom is great place for all your skis or bikes. Upstairs is a large primary bedroom with vaulted ceiling, queen-size bed, ensuite full bath, oak floors, and spectacular views of Mount Crested Butte.

The home is furnished with fresh linens and bedding. There are goose down comforters on all the beds. The kitchen is fully-equipped for food preparation and dining. The living area has cable TV/DVD and stereo and broadband Internet access. The small yard is fenced (not high!), perfect for your canine friends. Everything in town is within easy walking distance. You can park your car because everything including hiking, biking, shopping, Nordic skiing, and the coffee shop are just steps away.

Perfect location, charming hone
We selected this property because it is close to all downtown galleries and restaurants, but we were delighted by the property itself. Each friend had our own bedroom, the kitchen was great for breakfast before morning hikes. The bathrooms were large and had tubs as well as showers. We enjoyed wine on the deck before dinner every evening. This property exceeded our expectations.

Perfect pet-friendly, family property in the heart of downtown Crested Butte, CO.
Wild Iris could not have been more perfectly located as it was within easy walking distance from all the restaurants and shops on Elk Avenue. The home is well maintained and the flowers in the yard were abundant & lovely! The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. The owners work nearby and checked on us throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed…they even left a gift on the porch for my birthday! No need to look anywhere else, Wild Iris is the BEST and we will definitely book it again!

Perfect house for an amazing ski vacation!
I'm so happy we found this house for our vacation! We came to Crested Butte for Spring Break - our group included myself, my husband, our two kids, and my mom. The house was the perfect size for the 5 of us. First, the house was so well equipped and made it so easy for us to just enjoy our vacation. The kitchen has every tool, dish, etc. you need to make a good meal (plus there is a grill outside). There is a washer and dryer with detergent available. There is an amazing tub in the downstairs bathroom that is perfect for soaking sore muscles after skiing. Second, the location was perfect. It was a short walk to catch the bus up to the mountain. We could walk to anything in the town of Crested Butte. We were able to park easily - even with the loads of snow that fell. Thank you so much for this a wonderful vacation. We're already thinking about a summer trip to CB and would definitely stay in the house again!

The Wild Iris
The Wild Iris is a Historical, cool, cozy, log cabin with a modern well equipped kitchen. Clean, modern bathrooms with jetted tubs and monogrammed bath towels (Wild Iris) so how is that for attention to detail😍. Oh…can’t forget about the patio which my pups and I enjoyed on sunny days after a hard day of skiing-and cocktails🍹. The living room had double glass doors so you could watch the snow fall, with cocktails 🍷by the fire after a hard day of skiing 😍. Yes, I always celebrate if I make it home from the slopes lol. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. It took one walk down Elk street and I fell in love with the colorful town of Crested Butte!!!! I walked my dogs daily through the neighborhood and we decided we could move here in a heartbeat. Even the town buses were colorfully and walking distance from the Wild Iris. They ran every 15 minutes and transported you to the slopes…NICE! Crested Butte, the town , the Wild Iris, the people, the slopes ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. I will stay again and longer 10 out of 10!

Perfect stay in Crested Butte!
Wild Iris is just as described. Charming 1890's mining cabin with all the updates and comforts for a great stay. One block off the main drag in Crested Butte so we walked to restaurants, coffee and shopping . The shuttle is the way to go to the slopes. We parked in the mountain lot one day. It was a farther walk than the walk to the shuttle just a block away. We couldn't get the wood stove to ignite and Charlie came right over. It just needed new batteries in the remote. Nice and warm the whole trip. Having the mudroom was awesome to drop our skis, boots, etc. at the end of the day. Can't wait to come back.!! Thank you Charlie and Lizzie!! Ellen

Best Location Ever!
We've been coming to Crested Butte for over 20 years and this is definitely one of the best locations we've stayed at. Very rustic because it's a historic home. Had everything we needed and a little yard for our pups so very convenient. Walked to town a lot because it's only one street from Elk Ave. Charlie was very responsive to communicate with and we got to spend a little time with him! I would defintely recommend this property!

Well, this is probably at least the 5th year that we’ve stayed at Wild Iris. The location is ideal for wandering the town of Crested Butte. The home is spacious and comfortable. The neighbors across the street are like long time friends. Our dog feels at home. Everything is good. Look forward to another stay. Thanks.
