"Just the most magical place and loved everything about it!!!"

"Stayed in a one bedroom apartment with sofa bed in the lounge. The property was immaculate comfortable and cosy. Everything was supplied ie coffee tea etc Was offered room cleaning but it was not required. Staff were very helpful and friendly Would definitely recommend "

"Loved the villa, 3 negatives, the villa could do with some vacuuming, dog hair everywhere, there’s not enough cooking pot and pans( a small frying pan and small pot) and check in at 5pm(too late!)."

"This hotel is long overdue an overhaul and this year it was nice to see they’ve started it on some rooms. Worth a visit but don’t expect plush 4/5 star hotel. It’s dated but they seem to be improving things. Staff are lovely, pool is small and the lady who runs the pool does so with an iron fist and is sometimes over zealous. Amazing setting, great breakfast and average rooms. This year our mattress was in dire need of replacing but the room itself was clean and tidy. The entertainment is very cheesy but great for the kids. Nothing really much for the adults. It is worth a visit but we are hoping next year they will have done a lot more to the place to bring it up to date. Children’s play areas are great and the arcades are brilliant for passing time. Not really that expensive either. Overall, worth a visit but don’t get your hopes to high. We use it as a base to chase the snow for the kids each winter. "

"We have stayed at the Craiglynne several times, for us as an outdoorsy family it is an ideal blend of value, comfort and location. Some of the rooms may be a little tired, but they are large, clean, and facilities are good - it really works for us that they are dog friendly too. The staff are lovely and always happy to help make our stays, and part of the reason we keep going back. There is a lovely woodland area literally just opposite the hotel which is great for walking, particularly having some shelter if the weather turns inclement. Looking forward to our next stay already!!"

"Overall a very comfortable experience. This is the second time we stayed in Macdonald's hotel, opted for half board and loved our meals everynight. Breakfast was great, would be nice to have meatfree options for vegetarians, even if not in buffet but can offer to prepare it if requested, still loved scones and beans and pancakes, kind and caring staff."
