The staff was fabulous, i think this a family run hotel, because we saw the same people there day in and day out. breakfast buffet was yummy. though the property is a bit far from town, i don't mind the walk but that bridge is a bit scary to walk across, our grab drive got hit by a tourist on a scooter! while the scooter driver was looking as his phone!!

We booked 8 nights here. The hotel is well maintained and the pool area is pristine. The room has ample space compared to other hotels. The Wi-Fi and English speaking television shows and movies are a bonus. The breakfast buffet is delicious, and it has a wide variety of food to choose from. The omelettes are the best… made with fresh eggs. Most of all, the staff is a “top-notch” team who deserves recognition for their professionalism and attentiveness to details. We were amazed at how hard they work together to accommodate the guests. They always provided service with such wonderful smiles and a bit of humor! The desk staff (Ruby and Henry) really shine when it comes to providing recommendations, making reservations, arranging transportation, purchasing show tickets or tours, and tracking laundry services. We are now in Da Nang, and truly miss the Gemside River Resort, especially the staff. If we go back to Hoi An, we would not hesitate to book here again. Thumbs Up and hope to see you all soon.

What a wonderful gem in a busy city! It located in a quiet corner but only few minutes from the night market. The swimming pool is the best, very clean and comfortable. I definitely will stay there again. Highly recommended!!

Ruby at reception is awesome. She goes the distance in customer service.The cooks are great. Breakfast is plentiful. The pool is exceptionally clean and relaxing on the hot days. Housekeeping is done daily. We extended our 4 nights to 10. Within walking distance of old town but often take grabs when it’s too hot or we’re tired. Tours can be arranged through reception some at reduced rates. Restaurants and spas are abundant. Laundry is close by as well. Overall a great place and affordable.

Ruby was the most fabulous and gracious host ! We were treated so special! She took breakfast orders the night before to ensure our breakfast could be served before our tours! The money exchange at the hotel was great! The view of the river was beautiful and the pool was clean and refreshing! The room was very clean and spacious! There was bottled water left for us daily ! The hotel was easily walkable to the night market and to Hoi A memories! We walked to many restaurants and shops! Would highly recommend Gem Riverside hotel! We loved our stay at Gem Riverside during our honeymoon! It’s the perfect location, just a 10-minute walk from the hustle and bustle, so it’s peaceful but close. Gem Riverside is a beautiful hotel with an outdoor/indoor shower and clean spacious room. I love the location that it’s away from the noisy streets and vendors. From the moment we checked in, Ruby went over and beyond to help make our stay the best. I lost my passport at the airport and she called the airport and was able to track my passport, made reservations with new drivers since we had problems with our hired driver, and after we checked out she is even in contact with us to arrange for excursions and drivers. Ruby you have made our family trip to Vietnam 10 times better with your honesty and kindness.

Hoi An gem!
We booked this stay quite last minute as we hadn't planned to stay overnight in Hoi An. But so glad we did? We were welcomed warmly and the hotel was lovely with a big pool by the lobby. We had a nice balcony as well. Location-wise, you can walk to the shopping streets and food after crossing a narrow bridge.
