"Spent several nights at home for our anniversary. House was nestled in woods, away from it all and remote, which was just what we needed. Well maintained, clean, and quiet. Hot tub was a great touch and added to the Overall experience. We traveled to town for foods as needed. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a couples vacation. "

"Lovely cabin - I rented this for myself, a friend, and my dog for a 2-day hiking trip. I appreciate that each of bedroom had its own bathroom and that there was a little trail up the hill where I could walk my dog. We had a little snafu with internet availability in the unit, but it ended up not being an issue because hiking took up most of our day. Communication with the hosts was excellent. "Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway with family. It was a rainy weekend so we didn’t get to enjoy the hot tub or the fire pit as we had hoped but we did spend a lot of time relaxing on the covered deck. "We wanted to get back to western NC after Helene to support the areas who wanted tourists to return. The road and communities heading to the cabin were hit hard by the hurricane, but the route was drivable. Would recommend a truck or SUV. The cabin was adorable and the mountain it was on top of was perfect and secluded. We hope to keep coming back to these areas to help rebuild by volunteering and supporting local businesses. We will definitely stay again!"

"The house was lovely. Had everything we needed as advertised. Unfortunately, the town of Damascus was devastated by a flood due to Hurricane Helene. We lost power about 9:40am on 9/27. Also, lost water around the same time. We had to evacuate around 5:30pm on 9/27. We apologize for not being able to wash the dishes or complete some of the other check out procedures due to the circumstances. We are devastated for the community of Damascus as they have suffered catastrophic damage in town. Luckily...

Small parking area for a large p/u truck. Biggest drawback is that it is only 15 feet from the main road going through Damascus, which tends to be busy and noisy. And no front or back usable porch.."
