Discover Smoky Mountain Lake Retreat, your idyllic lakefront retreat, centrally located on the north side of Douglas Lake minutes off the interstate. It's an easy & short drive to Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, and Gatlinburg, simply head down scenic HWY 92 and drive into town the back way, away from the traffic on the Parkway. Enjoy being perfectly situated on one of the most beautiful lakes in the country, which also happens to be the perfect place to bring your boat, or take advantage of the paddleboard and kayaks and jump off the floating dock.
There are endless activities to please everyone in your group from outdoor enthusiasts to kiddos, youngsters, and adults alike. Stop by the Forbidden Caverns for some spelunking, drive through Gatlinburg’s Arts and Crafts community on your way to downtown Gatlinburg, hike to waterfalls, horseback ride through scenic valleys, enjoy a memorable picnic by the river, or fly fish. Some must-visit attractions and places include Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Downtown Dandridge (second oldest city in TN - a trove of Davy Crockett memorabilia), Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, The Island, Gatlinburg, and Foxfire Mountain Adventure Park.
As you enter this splendid lakefront beauty, you will be welcomed by an open-concept floor plan with sweeping vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and impressive views of the lake. The living room invites you to spread out comfortably and prepare for a tranquil and entertaining evening of playing board games or streaming fun shows and movies on the smart TV with streaming services. A-frame windows allow you to watch the sunrise or sunset. When mealtime comes around, the chef's kitchen has your back! It's appointed with all stainless steel appliances and all cooking essentials to prepare the most delicious homemade treats and meals for the crew. The dining area is just off the kitchen and boasts lake views while you chat and dine. This level opens onto an extensive lakefront wrap-around deck with an outdoor dining area and a new gas grill ready for fire.
Downstairs, you will discover an entertaining game area featuring a rec room, a big smart TV with a DVD, a Blu-ray player, a bevy of DVD classics, and a Ping-Pong table where you can show your A-Game! In addition, you can also enjoy more views of the lake and access to the lower-level deck with a hot tub with massaging jets and an inviting lounge area, perfect for spreading out and taking in the sweeping lake views. When the sun sets, head to the firepit to roast s'mores and swap memorable stories.

Plus, you can sample Southern wines, cider, and moonshine, enjoy local cuisine, and shop until you drop at tons of eateries and restaurants. For more outdoor fun, you can explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park only a hop, skip, and a jump away. Hike to waterfalls, horseback ride through valleys, picnic by a river, and fly fish together! The house is minutes off the interstate, so it's an easy drive to Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, and other attractions without all the steep hills & windy roads.

The floating dock sits in a cove where water levels vary. Terrain down to the dock is natural and mountainous. Easy 2nd lake access (for neighborhood) is available just right of home / recommend bringing water shoes (for children and adults) swimming and walking on natural terrain. According to TVA: a year with average rainfall, the water level in Douglas Reservoir varies about 44 feet from summer to winter to provide seasonal flood storage. You can always refer to this website for water levels.
Things to Know
This home is on the main channel of the lake with year-round water view and access, however, the TVA controls the lake level and off-season the water level does not float to dock.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
