Built in the late 1800's this historic building was a former public house. Our 1st floor apartment which commands a great position overlooking the River Dart, is spacious and offers a great holiday base for up to 5 people.

With 3 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms, and the combination of one kingsize bed, a room with twin beds and a single room, the apartment offers flexible accommodation.

Read the property description
Great place, just above the Lower Ferry. Through my own negligence I did not realize that there would no towels and a cot wasn't available. We took these two things for granted! Silly us. There was as of August 2023 a family in long term residence in the ground floor flat whose pervasive cooking smells might bother someone with a sensitive sense of smell. Otherwise, delightful.

Great Location, Fantastic View
Anne was v communicative and friendly throughout the process. Would be 5 stars but there were a few easily rectifiable issues that let the property down slightly. Bringing your own towels is completely understood but having no handsoap or hand towel in the shared bathroom was a surprise as these would be expected (there was a kitchen towel) The single bedroom unfortunately has both of its windows painted/sealed shut so it gets very hot and stuffy, the curtains also do not block out light and you get woken up when someone uses the bathroom that shares a view onto the lightwell in the night. Apart from that you cannot beat the location and value in dartmouth, the living room has amazing bifold doors looking onto the harbour and I hope this is taken in the constuctive manner as the only issues are very easily remedied!

Fabulous Apartment, Location and Views!!!
We had a wondeful time here in late March, in this well situated and appointed apartment. Highly recommended. We loved everything about it...... and we found ourselves spending a lot of time looking at the view over the river to Kingswear, watching the ferry, the steam train, boats, peope, etc, etc. 5 stars!

Well Positioned.
The apartment is very well positioned - being close to the town, ferries and steam railway. There is an excellent view over the River Dart estuary. The apartment itself was very clean. Everything worked fine - hot water, central heating, showers etc.

Truly amazing view and location in such a lovely apartment
Loved the view, could have looked at it forever, right in the centre of town, with the best view ever and yet quiet and relaxing to sleep in! Will definitely come back! Property is clean and lovely but slightly unusual to have to bring towels, toilet rolls, washing up liquid… as we normally do not have to do that in other properties. having said that, still loved it.

Spacious flat in a really stunning location. The view from the massive picture window could not be better. I could have sat there all day! Spotlessly clean and great facilities. I spoke to Anne when we had an issue and she was really helpful. Highly recommend!!

Everything was spot on, location, cleanliness, flat, views - the only problem seems to be the parking problem. That cannot be helped but is slightly stressful. I would rate it as one of the best places we have stayed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Apartment was so good, amazing views of the river, and magical at night with views of Kingswear’s lights. We were lucky having perfect weather. Went to Berryhead nature reserve, just wonderful , totally unspoilt, peaceful with amazing seaviews. We also did many trips on and across river. Apartment is ideally located, near shops and restaurants. Parking permit very useful, parked easily in public car park. A great holiday thank you Anne. Penny.

3-night Stay
Anne’s VRBO unit was just as described. Great view of the bay. While my family did not cook any during our stay, the kitchen seemed nicely equipped. Bathrooms appear newly remodeled providing exceptionally clean showers and good water pressure. Easy entrance into the unit since the door had a push button combination lock. Anne provides a carlot parking pass to the public lot which is an easy seven minute gentle walk from the unit. Thankfully while unloading the car, you can park in front of the unit on the street and then move the car later. If you can find a space on the street in front of the unit, overnight parking is acceptable for a restricted time.-I believe 6 PM to 8 AM. Beds were very comfortable in the three bedrooms. I don’t know if bath towels are always provided, but Anne did provide them for my family since we were coming from the USA and didn’t have room to pack bath linens. Easy 7-10 minutes walk to cafes/restaurants and other establishments. No need to drive.

Wow the views
Just returned from a wonderful four day Easter long weekend . Wow the views are the icing on the very delicious cake of this fabulous apartment, clean , spacious, perfect location . It truly felt like a home from home, the owners have thought of everything from wine glasses to corkscrew. We plan on a return visit 🙂
