Front desk lady was not very friendly and was rude when we asked for towels for the pool (it was 15 minutes until it closed but the guys wanted to sit in the hot tub for a few minutes). Took her time getting the towels and was not very personable. Water pressure of the shower was not great and the stairways walls were gross.

Check in was very fast although we arrived past midnight. Front desk boy was very friendly too, offered upgrade as the regular room we booked was not available. The suite was super spacious, clean and quiet. Beds are comfy. Location of the hotel is convenient. Although it was close to highway but at the right distance, so we did not feel much noise. The only area could be improved will be the breakfast, too simple....

I reserved two rooms for the weekend. On our first night, I called to see if early check in early. I was told rooms would be ready at 2. When we arrived rooms were not ready which was not a big problem. 20 minutes later we were told one room was ready and we could go up with all our stuff and that in about 20 minutes the 2nd room would be ready. At the room we noticed a very musty and humidity smell. The room smelled very differently. So, I called the front the desk and the manager came up to certify the smell. He agreed and switched which no longer close to my son’s. I agreed anyway and they came to move me to the 2nd floor. When we got there, he didn’t know what room to put me in. After opening several doors he put me in a room. He told me he would bring me the keys up in a few minutes. After waiting for about 20 minutes for the keys my door opens and it was the cleaning lady who told me that the room had not been cleaned and that she had only made the the bed. I had not checked out the room, other than the smell of course, but there were no clean towels, the bathroom was disgusting, and garbage had not been cleaned out. My son came down with my key because it was taken up to him. The key didn’t open, It was for the wrong room. I went to reception to get the correct key. Later the front desk called to verify my room because the computer had something different. She asks if I want to move to switch rooms. Why move a third time? Crazy! My son’s shower had scalding hot water!!

My family was visiting St Ambrose and only needed a room for 1 night. We were allowed to check in early which was nice, but when we got into the room we noticed a musty smell. The curtains had water stains and mold spots on the bottom and the bathroom was surface clean but still dirty. The grout on the tile was black. It smelled like someone vomited in the sink and it wasnt properly cleaned. The bath tub was dripping and the caulk was cracked and visibly rusty and moldy as well. The beds were clean and comfortable which was good. There are several other hotels in the area that if my son attends Ambrose we would stay at. We didnt pay a lot for the room which was great but i wont be staying here again.

Walked into the lobby and it stank so bad! They were trying to cover up a smell (likely) and used so much vanilla air freshener that just made me sick. I almost didn’t even check in, but it was already paid for and non refundable reservation. Once in my room the smell was better and the place was cleaner. The pool did not have any towels. There is a strange smell in the room, and it can get a bit noisy at times during the night. They might need to clean the carpet. However, overall, it’s a good place to stay.
