"A friend and I rendezvoused in the Canaan Valley in early November to hike in the nearby Dolly Sods and other trails in the area. Garagemahal was exactly as advertised: clean, quiet, spacious (for two people), and conveniently located. The owners/managers (Chip and Laurie), who live across the driveway, were friendly and available to provide information or report problems to (there weren't any), but were otherwise unobtrusive. We will return."

"Excited for our long weekend trip. The attached kitchen area over the garage had a leaking sink which my girl had parked in there and it leaked through the floor onto her car hood. Had to fix it just tighten up everything on p trap. Pool table had 1 working que stick but it was warped, there was 4 others but no tips on them! The dryer was packed slam full of linens from previous stay I suppose. For the price I would’ve expected better but overall it’s a nice place. Also the driveway is very...

"We just spent a long ski weekend with two other families. Enjoyed the location, the open floor plan, the hot tub. Size wise the house was a little tight for the whole crew. Beds are squeezed into the two lower bedrooms and there’s no separate space for kids to hang out (which we knew) . Clearly has some new elements in the kitchen but missing a handful of kitchen items you’d expec and is otherwise updated from whnm it was built"

"We loved our stay at Mountain Life Memories! Not only was the house super nice, it was also clean, comfy, and had all that we need for a short get-a-way with family. The furniture was comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked, master bathroom and shower were awesome! We had a fire in the fire pit, hiked, and played pickleball. Check-in and out were quick and easy. I would love to stay again!"

"The house was very nice but I feel like the pictures showed the house out of context. It is located in a convenient area with close access to everything, but very close to other houses. Also the house, while being to sleep 12 people, was very small. The pictures led us to believe that we had a lot of room. Oh well, I can’t complain about the area though! It’s one of my favorite places in the world and we were with great people!"

"The cabin was wonderful! Exactly what we hoped it would be and more! Location was perfect for us in a very quiet, peaceful woods away from any noise. The cabin was quant and perfectly “old school,” relaxing and had all we needed and more. Can’t say enough about this home. Would love to own it! Hint hint! We will be back in the fall."

"The house we stayed in was quite nice. Terrific valley views from the main living area of the house. The kitchen was well stocked and functional. The bedrooms were comfortable with good light quality. Everything was pretty clean, although the house could benefit from a new paint job. The hot tub was fantastic after a long day of hiking. The location was perfect. Lots of parks in close proximity with a ton of trails. We would definitely come back."

"Great location on the mountain. Everything we needed for cooking. Close to all the recreation in the area. Only downfall was the spiral staircase on the upper floor. Could not use that room but we are sure teenagers would love the space. Not sure how we missed that detail but it was really 3 bedrooms for our family. We had a great time and had everything we really needed. Thank you!"

"The Snow Chateau was such a lovely place for my family and I to spend a few days exploring Canaan Valley, Blackwater Falls, and the David/Thomas area. Michaela was very responsive, helping us locate items in the house as well as recommending a local garage for a car repair. We had such a great time playing pool and games with the family at night. We would love to stay at the Snow Chateau again."

"Beautiful cabin nestled in the trees. Perfect place for visiting Blackwater Falls Park. The cabin was the perfect size and offered all of the amenities needed. We have our dog who always travels with us and this place was perfect for her too. The bed was very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the morning sunrise from the deck!"

"Nice and clean, very comfortable. Would stay again. Contract confusing over using heat or a/c, sounded like could not adjust temp, touch thermostates. We were only there 1 night so was not much of a problem at this time of year. Internet was an issue, it was the only time I had to pay for internet and was very hard to get connected. For the price of the rental we all thought the wifi should be included. This was by far quite a major inconvience. Otherwise very nice. "
