Relaxing weekend
The cabin was comfortable and enjoyable. The staff was helpful and friendly. We were disappointed in the lack of a usable fireplace and not enough firepits for every cabin to have one. The room was renovated halfway. The bathtub, shower, counters, and sinks were beautiful and new. The cabinetry and especially the refrigerator need to be replaced. The nearby small town was cute and quaint. The walk around DeFuniak Lake was a favorite activity. Everything in the town is closed on Sundays by 2 p.m.

This is the place to stay!
I would highly recommend staying at this resort to all my family and friends. I stayed a week there it was absolutely amazing and not that far to drive to beautiful Destin beach!

More than what you could imagine
Great place, to fish. Suites are beautiful. Nice and clean with everything you need. Sure worth the three and a half hours to get here. We got more here at the resort then we would have booking a hotel. The lake view was beautiful not a very populated Resort which is a good thing if you want to relax. The pool was nice and clean and well maintained. Definitely will be booking the Suites again very soon. I do have a couple of recommendations: -Us as guest can use some hooks in the bathroom to hang towels -some more activities for the children would be good such as corn hole or scheduled activities throughout the day to keep the small children busy. Even a small playground would be a great addition.

Extremely nice rooms - property undergoing a rehab
This a a very nice secluded property that is currently undergoing a big rehab project. As previously informed before arriving, we knew the pool was under construction as well as the rest of the property so there is no much to do or use other than walking down to the lake or the large dock. (If you have a boat - they have a launch area) If you want a totally secluded hotel/condo this is it. The rooms (we had a two bedroom) unit that was very spacious and clean. I would rate this as one of the nicest space for the money I've stayed in. The separate bedrooms were separated by a living room/kitchen and each bedroom had it's own large bathroom. One bedroom had both a private hot tub, shower, sink, toilet & closet. The other a very large shower, sink & toilet, closet. The kitchen was an ample size with full size dishwasher, full size refrigerator, microwave, full utensils, toaster, etc. TVs (small) in each bedroom and a larger TV in the living room. I thing I found lacking was a night stand near the beds. There was only a little shelf about the size of an i-pad that was mostly useless. There is a large back porch overlooking the lake. This was one of the quietest places I've stayed in. There are only about 6 or 7 rooms and I was told that they have all been recently refurbished - everything in our room was clean and fresh. I would stay here again and from what I saw it will be awesome when all the outside remodeling has been finished. Hope I can make it back.
