"The Upstairs hotel was a very stylish and fun hotel just steps from the beach. The staff was really friendly and helpful! One small point is if you do book one of the small/cheap rooms, they aren't easily accessible via the lifts. You will need to go down a couple of flights of stairs which can be tough with heavy luggage. Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Ostend!"

"No towels… must rent them. No hand soap in bathroom or kitchen. Bed is not made must make it yourself. Dead bugs on floor. Hallway area was run down and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We paid extra for an ocean view room and did have a great view and overall felt relatively safe. "

"Great hotel and super situation for the best part of the beach and close to great local bars and nightlife and super restaurants very close including a Mexican 2 minutes away ,all the staff from the man who allowed us to leave our bags in extra early to the friendly girl who let us check in really early ,the bar staff and breakfast staff were also really friendly and the food for breakfast was generous and very tasty and covered many tastes . We had a wonderful few days and want to go back soon...

"Beautiful old renovated building in the center of town. Ten minute walk from the sea shore. Staff is friendly and professional and hotel is very clean. We were given a converted attic room. Even though there were just two of us- it had a double bed and two singles. It was well equipped but didn’t have a tea kettle nor drinking water. A very odd feature that I’ve never run across is that their check-out policy is at 10:30 am! The earliest I have ever seen. They do have a kitchen but we didn’t eat...
