Summary:
Enjoy the sunsets, relax, and find refuge on the river! Our three-level river house has three bedrooms with an additional sleeping area on the lower level with three full baths. All types of boating, watersports, and fishing are right out your front door. We are conveniently located one mile from Cottonport Marina. The house is only a short drive from Chattanooga, Knoxville, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee Aquarium, Cumberland Mountains, Smoky Mountains, and white water rafting.
The Space:
The main entry into the home is through the front porch. Guests will be welcomed to the main floor kitchen, which is fully equipped for all your cooking needs! To the left is the dining and the first living room is to your right. There are two separate living areas with 55-inch flat-screen tvs, with a PS3 in the lower-level living room! Each living area is connected to an outdoor living space with unmatched views of the water There is a full bathroom with tub and one bedroom with queen bed on main level. Travel downstairs to find the second living area with sleeping area with two double beds and a full bathroom with shower and laundry facilities.The top floor features the remaining sleeping areas and bathroom. The master bedroom features a queen bed with river views and the last bedroom has two double beds . There is a shared bathroom for these two bedrooms.
The large level grassy area is unique to the property and is perfect for bonfires in the fire pit, corn hole, games, and relaxation right on the water.
The highlight of the home is the large waterfront dock with electric and water! We have no doubt that our River Refuge will be the perfect getaway for you and your guests! There are two Kayaks available for free fun.
NOTE: There is a steep slope guests will have to walk down to access the water. It may be challenging for small children or the elderly.

****Water levels begin to decrease during October and begin to rise during April. There might not be sufficient water levels to boat from October-May. Guests should still be able to fish from the dock! ****
Guest Access:
The house has a lockbox with key at the front door which will provide you access to the house. The code will be provided upon check-in. You will have full and private access to the home.
The Neighborhood:
Lovely spot on the Chickamauga Lake portion of the Tennessee River with great fishing. House is located in a quiet spot at the end of a no outlet street.
Getting Around:
A vehicle is definitely needed as we are located in a rural area.
Other Things to Note:
Please note that there is currently no internet at the home. We love being able to disconnect and make the most of our time on the river, however, when needed a cellphone will work for basic services.
If you notify us of your intent to cancel prior to the lapse of the free cancellation period, we will return 97% of your payment. The other 3% will already have been collected by the credit card processing company, and we have no way to return that portion of the payment.
Disposal is turned on by countertop button. Light switch next to sink must be flipped on for it to work.
The path down to the water is paved but very steep therefore it is not an option for everyone.
We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 25 years of age to book.
Interaction with Guests:
We like to give our guests maximum privacy, so we offer contact-free check-in via a lockbox. Just know that we are only a phone call away if ever the need arises during your stay!
