When we all look for holiday accommodation that involves a beach holiday, we want one that has direct beach access (if possible), spacious, with stunning views where we can look and hear the sounds of the waves pounding on the shore .
A place where we can come home to in the evening, or just a place to stay during the day, relax with a book and cup of coffee, or have an afternoon nap.
Did I mention a glass of wine and cheese in the evening on the balcony!

Denham's Beach Retreat, a contemporary spacious 3 bedroom holiday villa overlooking beautiful Denham’s Beach, which is regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches on the South Coast, we believe ticks all these boxes , with lots more to offer-See below for a list of activities that you can do- if you want to venture further and come back to your home in the evening.
You get to experience ever changing vistas of the ocean from your balcony, living areas and kitchen.
You look out across the ocean to the Tollgate Islands, with an added bonus of having a beautiful nature reserve in front of you with large spotted gum trees- and if you are a family, you are able to watch the children play cricket, football or ride their bike, as you relax on your balcony, and not to have to worry what they are doing.
There are 2 pathways that lead you down to Denhams Beach - less than a 2 minute walk , with no roads to cross.
You not only have Denham’s Beach to enjoy and frolic in the water, but you are able to walk around to Surf Beach, which is patrolled in summer and has a play area for the small ones, whilst you enjoy a coffee. Wimbe Beach adjoins Surf Beach, with this beach having no waves, so suitable for the tiny tots. Just a beautiful beach walk around the three beaches, and all on your doorstep.
Enjoy an early morning walk along the beaches or have a swim before having breakfast on your balcony. Pods of dolphins are often seen swimming across the water and is a treat to see , not only for children, but adults alike.
We have the little extras that may make it easier if traveling with an infant: Port-a-cot ( need to bring your own linen) high chair, and stroller.
There are flippers, bogie boards, sand buckets/spades and a bike that we hope that you use during your stay.
And not least, there are a number of games- for family to have fun t whilst playing together.
The high standard of appointments includes a large LG Smart TV in the living area, with Netflix included, with internet access plus WiFi. There is a smaller Smart TV in the main bedroom.
BOOKINGS:
Whilst we offer a two (2) nights minimum stay for convenience of guests who are only able to escape away for 2 nights, especially at week-ends, there are times where the required minimum stay is longer.
We welcome stays of three (3) days or longer during school holidays and long week-ends, up to the 20th December, from when a minimum of a week is required up until the end of January- Saturday to Saturday.

The LOCATION
Denhams Beach Retreat is situated 7 km south of Batemans Bay, next to Surf Beach.
For those travelling from Canberra it is a 2 hour drive , a pleasant 4 hours from Sydney and 1 and a half drive from Goulburn.
Denhams Beach is known for its daily visit by a family of dolphins.
In spring from September until late November, the humpback migration enchants our shores and can be seen from Denhams Beach.
JUST OUTSIDE
Less than a 2 minute walk to the beach, with no roads to cross .
A lovely small reserve with spotted gum trees- great area for children to play and kick a ball.
Whether you want to swim, surf, paddle in the water, explore the rock pools, walk the beaches , or build sand castles ,they are all at your door step to enjoy .
Denham’s Beach is sheltered by rocky headlands, with good sized surf on most days and is popular with board riders and has great snorkeling around the rocks at the far end.
Surf Beach, which is an easy walk around from Denham’s Beach has a small shopping Centre. There is a Chinese Restaurant- eat in or take away, Piccolo’s for pizza, Fish and Chip- eat in or take away, A Chemist, Medical Centre, an AGA Supermarket, Hair Dresser and Bottle Shop.
There is also a Beach Store that has newspapers and takeaway food.

After a relaxing swim and surf, soaking up the sun on the sand, exercising your toes in the sand you might like to explore the other wonderful delights that awaits you.
Why not try kayaking – different tours can be arranged whether you are seeking a peaceful or adventurous journey.
Paddle board the estuary shallows where you can stop for swims on the way.
If you like fishing the region boosts some of Australia's finest estuary, beach, rock and offshore fishing.
National parks and state forests are a bush-walkers dream, allowing for easy paced to more challenging walks.
If you are into photography, you will be in dream world.
Golf: Catalina Golf Country Club boasts a 27 hole championship golf course.
Mogo - Steeped in the rich history of gold - Mogo has a village atmosphere and a variety of specialty shops and galleries.
Markets – a number of markets are held around the Eurobodalla region, with Batehaven on the 1st Sunday of the month and Moruya on every Saturday.
Wining and dining - the seafood is superb, includes oysters, lobsters, prawns, crabs, and a variety of quality fish. There are a number of specialty waterfront restaurants that have stunning views of the water.
CHILDREN
Mogo Zoo - features many endangered exotic species, including red pandas and Australia's only 3 white lions.
Birdland in Bateman's Bay is a must for families. Allowing you to see a diverse range of Australian animals and bird species. Up close with Koalas at 10.30, wombats and snakes at 11.30 and 2.30. Friendly wombats and snakes can be handled.
