My first stay at Katala Villas and I absolutely loved it ! My room was spacious and comfortable, I had a little deck to sit on outside and also an outside shower which was glorious. The pool was magnificent and I spent a lot of time there relaxing. I had spring rolls by the pool for lunch , a mocktail and it was delicious. Breakfast is simple but fresh and also delicious. It’s a 5-7 min walk to main shops and restaurants and an easy one. I was travelling on my own and felt safe at this little resort. Overall I had an awesome time thanks to my restful stay at Katala.Happy Happy !! Many thanks

A peaceful paradise within walking distance to the main shops and restaurants. Couldn't have asked for better staff, so friendly and accomodating. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious with everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful hotel and very friendly staff. Pool for sure a 10+, the restaurant by it was super convenient and food was great and affordable. The staff very helpful and always smiling. The room was clean, and comfortable. The only thing was that the bed was a little bit uncomfortable, but besides that perfect place to stay.

Comfortable, clean and conveniently located
We stayed for 5 nights at Katala Villas and it was just perfect for us. The villas are conveniently located, just a 5 minute walk to restaurants catering for a range of budgets and cuisines (local warungs and Asian and Western restaurants) and also a supermarket, convenience stores and money changers (we used the Money Exchange inside Circle K on JL Danau Tamblingan). The beach is about a 10-15 minute walk. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa, each with own bathroom, walk in robe and safety deposit box. Each bathroom had an outdoor shower, 2 hand basins, toilet and the main suite also had a bath. Outside was a lovely garden, kitchen and living area, day bed under a gazebo and an inviting swimming pool which was about 1.5metres deep (no shallow end, although there were steps at one end). The kitchen is well equipped with fridge, microwave, hot plate, crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils so you could self cater if you wanted. Our breakfast was included in our package and the restaurant is also open for lunch (until 5pm). With so many good options available nearby and within the complex, we only used the fridge for refreshments! We also enjoyed lunch at the restaurant twice during our stay. The staff were helpful and friendly and discretely serviced our villa daily as we lazed about. We are happy to rebook again for our next trip.

Loved the individual bungalows/rooms so no noise from other units. Far enough away from the roads/shops/restsurants to make it a quiet and peaceful location to relax. Bars and restaurants are convenient walking distance. Pool was lovely and quiet. Breakfasts could have been better.

Hotel was tucked away from the main road so you don't get the sounds of busy traffic. Hotel grounds were well maintained. My room was upstairs and it had an indoor shower which I prefered. Quiet nights made it good for resting.

Peaceful and very well maintained property.
Staff are so friendly. Property is very well maintained with beautiful gardens that provide a tranquil and relaxing setting for all guests. You feel as if you are the only guest there. Our 6th stay at Katala and we have also had 4 other couples stay and they also loved Katala. We are looking forward to going back in 6 months.

Lovely Suites in good location.
Katala Villas is accessed from a quiet back road. The property opens out to a lovely pool with tropical gardens. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in 2 suites as a party of 2 couples for 9 nights. Rooms are very spacious as is the modern bathroom. We all loved the outdoor rain showers. Toiletries are plentiful and the good breakfasts are cooked to order. The property was quiet and we will definitely stay again. A nice stroll to the main roads to shops, pubs and restaurants. The beach is about 15 minutes away. A taxi costs around A$3 to anywhere on the strip. Take a small torch as stray dogs lie in the narrow road at night although they are timid and won't approach people. We visited Warung De Naksa for drinks and food. The owners are lovely and food fresh, tasty and cheap. Katala Villas lived up to the great reviews which was why we chose to stay there.

Wow! A small resort professionally managed with the utmost attention to details. The small villa / bungalow is perfectly equipped and decorated. The entire place is pervaded with natural quiet and relaxing / regenerating attitude. Staff is friendly and caring for all your needs, from a welcoming check-in, to delicious breakfasts and tolerant check-out. You will need a transport to get to the beach but you have all basic services like cute family restaurants, laundry and garment alterations nearby. I miss the place already and can't wait to be back.
