Everything is here for you to cook and to have fun. This saves you and your group time and money! This home is also fully decorated to make it feel homey. We do the extras to make your stay better!
The Aurora is the house for family and group entertaining. You can enjoy the large open living room the flows into the contemporary dining room that formally seats eight. The kitchen has been completely remodeled with new appliances, outfitted for your baking, cooking, and grilling desires. The Aurora comes with super comfy beds, luxury linens and towels, board games and puzzles, a vast array of complimentary toiletries, 2 washers and dryers with soap and softener, 2 tv viewing areas, and a coffee station.... basically, anything we think you might need to enjoy your stay. You can enjoy grilling on the patio set up for outdoor eating then enjoy the party room- including more seating and another table for 4.
The party room includes bar, serving area for food (or to put presents on), ping pong table, a 75" tv, SKEE BALL, and a 4-player stand up video game with over 4,000 preloaded arcade games!!! Video games include- Golden Tee 2022, Silver Strike, and nearly every game from Play Station, Nintendo, Dreamcast, Sega, Atari, etc... Come play your childhood favorites like Hydro Thunder, Tapper, Q Bert, Tron, Dig Dig, Pac Man, Sonic, Donkey Kong, Mortal Combat, Super Mario... and the list just goes on! We have the place stocked with board games for kids and adults, puzzles, and plenty to keep your group entertained, or just kick back on one of the couches or over-sized recliners and enjoy some much needed relaxation. About Your Host-
I love to make people happy and that exactly what my properties are designed for. I'm a landlord by trade. I have apartment complexes and rental homes. Then six years ago I created my first vacation rental property, and it grew from there. I offer vacation rentals because it's fun! Making sure groups are set up to have a blast is a challenge that I find very rewarding. I take this seriously. Being a big kid at heart, I make it my mission to deliver the fun for kids- also being one who appreciates nice things, I deliver comfort and attention to detail for the adults. I truly desire for you to have the most fun and relaxation as possible, and with the fewest hassles as well. That is why we put in so much effort before you get there. We provide and offer many things that set us apart. Family Weekend
Clean and well-kept property in Des Moines with ready access to the fun things to do in the area. Close to Merle Hay mall, easy access to the interstate for travel. Decent neighborhood with quiet neighbors! We had a blast being together for the weekend with all our kids and grandkids.

Great place and host! Only slight downfall was the outdoor trash cans were very full and very smelly. Also the yard had not been mowed all year which was just a small inconvenience when playing yard games. But overall a very fun and good experience!

This was an ideal place for our gathering, which included 7 teens and nine adults. The game room was great for everybody, and plenty of space for those who wanted to read, etc. The teens especially enjoyed the pool with all its amenities, even though it was an excursion to get there. This house worked perfect for our birthday/slumber party. With 4 generations ranging from 1 1/2 to 76 everyone was comfortable and had fun (especially in the game room). The home owner had a beautiful home that was nicely renovated and very accommodating!

We were in DesMoine for family vacation and to go to the Iowa State Fair. We used the grill and kitchen to make most meals. We all enjoyed the game room and ping pong matches. There was plenty of room and the beds were comfortable. We would stay here again if we come back to DesMoine!

Good stay
We were in town for the Junior Olympics that was hosted at Drake University and had an overall good stay. Property is nice and in a quiet neighborhood. Game room was a hit for our two kids. The home is very spacious to spread out if you have a larger family. There are a couple TVs one in the living room and one in the game room. The only downfall we had was a little trouble with the upstairs sink, but we managed and there is only one shower, but we were aware of that ahead of time and made it work. For the price we received and location to Drake University, it made the stay worth it even though there was the one shower. The location is perfect for shopping and grocery. Would consider staying again.

We had a teenager birthday party and they had a lot of fun. The only drawback was the game room is in the garage which didn’t have air conditioning so it was pretty hot in there. Otherwise it was fantastic, plenty of room for the kids to be loud on the main level while the adults could still sleep peacefully upstairs

Good Retreat Spot
Our stay in the Urbandale property was good. We are a reslife team from Grinnell College that retreat twice a year. We are always looking for a space that can accommodate 8 adults. The space was clean and had all the amenities that we needed. Due to the heat, we barely left once there, which didn't matter because we had board games and a garage full of arcade games. The host was extremely communicative and all was smooth.

My wife and I used this property with a number of our friends for our wedding weekend! We had a wonderful time and it was comfortable with our 15-person group. There were a couple of very minor issues; the drain was a little clogged, and one of the bed frames had a broken support, but overall it was a great experience. Neither of those issues had any bearing on how much we enjoyed the space. We loved the arcade room!

AMAZING Place for low-key large gatherings
We stayed in this location for an extended weekend 3 nights / 4 days. We had 3 generations with 5 adults, 3 college students, 3 high schoolers and 2 elementary schoolers. We had enough beds for everyone! Unheard of in a home this size! The game room proved extra special, as it was a space where we could all gather at the same time doing different activities. Ping Pong, Skee Ball and the video games combined with board games and playing cards. EVERYTHING is labeled! Cupboards, light switches, etc. There were enough bath towels for everyone (like 20!) Unlike a lot of places, the gas grill clean and top-notch. Nice little touches like a little basked of toothbrushes, toothpastes and other items in both bathrooms, high quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. Super cute decor - love the cow painting in the dining room. It was also very nice to have a good-sized dining room table for meals and prep. The location is superb - easy to pick up groceries and supplies close by. We went to Gray's Lake for an afternoon, which was also an easy drive. The house isn't huge - but the spaces are used efficiently - very impressive. This is not a party house - it's too nice. If you want to get together and drink a few beers - perfect. However, this is not the place to throw a rager! We highly recommend this as a place for a large low-key gathering - it's PERFECT.

Everything we looked for in a weekend retreat for our family reunion was realized in this home. Close to shopping, food, and area events. Our crew especially liked the rec area in the garage.
