"Grandparents from down south catching up with Queensland children and grandchild. Perfect for what we needed, lots of thoughtful extras such as games for us all to play, not just the one child. "Thank you Unfortunately the photos on the internet are property staged, stylised and interiorly decorated. They present a warm inspiring house. The reality is quite different unfortunately. The house is grotty, the furnishings and some fittings (both indoors and outdoors) are old, dirty, mismatched both in style and colour with random pieces of mismatched furniture throughout. The bed covers are worn and old, all the cushions are worn and old and even dirty. Many wall hangings have been removed...

"We absolutely enjoyed staying at the Tiny House. It was not only clean and spacious but also in beautiful surroundings. Keshni was not only very friendly and quick in her communication but also super supportive with tips on things to do in the area. The only area of improvement could be that it would be nice to have some salt, oil and coffee available in the accommodation as otherwise every guest needs to buy it themselves and dispose of it afterwards, which is not very sustainable in my POV. "The communication and ease of booking is excellent . The house is clean and has a lovely look over the beach . It was windy while we were there . I’m not sure if that is usual and you can’t swim in the beach due to crocodiles however it’s stunnng to wake to the sound and look of waves . Great managers of the property! Also no blinds and doors are not solid so you can hear everything"

"The beach Villa was nice. Unfortunately 6 out of 7 days were gale force winds. Their was only 2 afternoons I could sit outside to enjoy a glass of wine and swim in the pool. Improvements definately need to be looked at. For executive villa I would have expected a nice bath tub to relax, a small area of fencing for dog so they don't run down to the beach and get eaten by Croc.The hallway light didn't work from the downstairs,Microwave door didn't close(had to slam it shut).Upstairs bathroom tiles...

"Newell Beach is the perfect distance from Port Douglas. Close enough to get to it when you need to, but far enough away from the crowds that it feels like your own piece of paradise. The house is wonderfully open and light with a huge deck overlooking the pool and beach. We had breakfast there most days. When the weather was less kind, the kitchen and living areas are huge and have pretty much everything you could want. I highly recommend it"

There were kookaburras, turkeys, and several other birds we never saw singing their beautiful songs. Our kids loved the creek. Brianna was a pleasure to communicate with. "The home and grounds are beautiful and overall we would recommend it. We were disappointed that the pool was not heated as advertised for July. Also whilst the beach views are stunning, you cannot swim due to possible crocs (as we were told by locals) but this is not mentioned on the ad. Many of the window openings are broken, we had dirty blankets on 2 of the beds, mould on the bathroom ceilings, dirty cutlery in the drawer and general scuff marks on walls. "Where to start!! Stay at the Silky Oaks Lodge was truly a dream come true. The staff is amazing and made us feel so welcomed and special from the moment we arrived. Our room was perfect - very clean and the mini bar was stocked with everything you could need. Our view was in the middle of the rainforest with river views and total privacy. We enjoyed time on the patio together and the bathtub was heavenly. Every meal was delicious. Such a dream!!! "

"We loved our time at Sky bungalow! It was so peaceful that we chose to have two days of staying in, reading, relaxing in the hot tub, bird and butterfly watching and just hanging out. Convenient to Port Douglas where we did some excellent snorkeling and some ocean swimming. Easy trip to Mosman Gorge for a nice cool swim. Would love to stay here again someday! "

"We had a phenomenal stay at the Mai Tai. Not only were the views incredible; the room super romantic (with a very cool outdoor tropical shower); and the location perfect for exploring the Great Barrier Reef, Mossman Gorge, and the Daintree Rainforest; Andre (the host) was so warm and welcoming that we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a serene and romantic stay in the most gorgeous rainforest location."

Perfect stay in the rainforest

"Perfect stay at the Daintree Eco Lodge. The rooms are lovely and spacious. Really liked the ‘outside’ enclosed sala. All the villas are private and all you can hear are the sounds of birds and frogs. The staff are amazing. They go out of their way to make you feel at home and the service is impeccable. Food is delicious and they do great cocktails! We stayed for three nights and ate at the restaurant every evening. An absolute must is the ATV tour to the waterfall. You’ll get very wet so go in swimwear only. It was so much fun. 10/10 for us "
