The dry season runs from October through March. The dry season is the best time to visit if you are planning to go to one of Africa's breathtaking beaches. If you are planning on a safari, the dry season is also an optimal time to visit thanks to the fact that the animals will conveniently gather around watering holes during this season.

The wet season lasts from April to July along the coast and from July to September further inland. If you are planning a trip to areas such as Mali, this is the best time to go as temperatures tend to be a bit cooler.

Africa offers a wide variety of things to see and experience. For those who love to watch wildlife, a safari is a great opportunity to do just that. If you prefer to lounge around in a posh beach resort, there are plenty of those along Africa's coastline.
