"Fantastic hotel and spa. Perfect location for some scenic walking and a very pretty village, with a few towns just a short drive away. The staff at the hotel were all extremely polite and helpful. The room was lovely, clean and well equipped (home from home), with some fantastic views. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back again ☺️"

"I liked the location, which was excellent, right in the centre of Ambleside. There are plenty of shops, especially hillwalking type shops nearby. It is possible to walk to the lake, but for me it was a long walk. There are plenty of buses to go to the lake, to Windermere, or Bowness-on -Windermere. The hotel has a dog-friendly bar, serving nice meals, with nice friendly staff."
