"We had a good time in Aruba and at the Riu. Dining was very good; in particular the food and service at the Kristal restaurant were outstanding. The resort staff generally were very attentive and friendly. The property was very well maintained and attractive, though our room had a slightly musty odor, probably due to the humidity. Although it's a matter of individual preference, for us the noise level at this property was excessive, especially during the day. A DJ blasted music from the pool...

"As reviewed many times by others the hotel is in a great location on a beautiful beach close to lots of shops and restaurants. It is also a very old hotel that has had some renovations but is a little tired overall. I was also a little annoyed that even though I paid for a very expensive room I still had to pay up to reserve a beach palapa each day. "
