"I was shocked upon arrival to find access to the Perkin Hotel was up a severely steep incline and located in a back alley alongside a row of nightclubs and restaurants. Fortunately, however, the guy at the front desk was a big, strong guy and he assisted with all of our luggage. But once we neared the hotel property I was disgusted by the filth, trash, the rats and cockroaches that littered the way to the hotel entrance.
