"This property was one of the best stays in our vacation in Cuba. Starting with Manager Eleonor. She was awesome always attentive to our 2 year old daughter. Food was excellent, rooms spacious and clean. Nice family environment. This is a hidden gem. In our cuba visit stay in different places but I can say I had a better time and treatment than at Melia Varadero. Also Camilas House had the best Mojito I had in Cuba. Will go back again. The owners should be proud of their staff very hard working...

"Quiet area but near the main street and the sea promenade. The area is safe, the neighbours are friendly and ready to help. Good and non-expensive restaurants nearby. "I can't imagine that there is a cooler place to stay in Cienfuegos. The casa is artsy, full of fun antiques and creative furniture, every room different. We were offered a coffee upon arrival and I wish we had eaten dinner here, but we went farther afield. Breakfast was very good. It was an easy walk to everywhere you'd want to go. I can't recommend it highly enough. "

"We had two nights staying with Roberto and Dani and they were very welcoming and helpful, even inviting us out one evening to watch a local music show with them which was brilliant. The apartment was also really nice and breakfast was good. Room was comfortable and the location was great. Would definitely recommend!"

"Carlos was super friendly. A fab free fruit cocktail on day 2, and- above and beyond- he brought our forgotten cables and plug to the bus station. How super-lovely. :) :) Breakfast was yum, and the roof terrace was a great cool area ( in both senses of the word). Wifi for about 20 minutes a day though, either c 8 am or 11 p.m. It seemed. As far as the hostal "Casa Colonial el Sol" I will say that Yala, the host, as well as her husband, offer an excellent, dedicated and caring service to all the guests. "Wonderful stay with lovely people. Great location a couple of blocks from the bus station, and very close to the Boulevard and main square. Spacious room with good aircon and nice shower and a delicious breakfast. Teresa can do your laundry and their restaurant suggestions were excellent. Teresa and Abel arranged a great share taxi for us, and looked after us very well. A gem!"
