"Overall the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The restaurant was excellent with quality food and friendly staff. The negative is the parking situation, with the NCP car park recommended by the hotel costing a shocking £29.00 for an overnight stay ( Arrived at 18:00 and departed at 08:00 the next day). As someone who travels around the UK for my job, this was extortionate and the highest price I have paid for overnight parking recommended by a hotel. Would put me off staying here in future,...

"very nice comfortable hotel. Good Gym and pool facilities. Did not eat in the restaurant as a little out of my expenses price range. Ate in the bar. The food was very good, but the menu was a little limited and the bar restaurant lacked much atmosphere. All the staff were very friendly. As i was staying in November I saw very little of the outside areas, but the Christmas decorations that were up looked very pretty."

"The location in conveinent. The staff are friendly and the room was clean and had a coffee machine, fridge and Bluetooth speaker (nice touch). I did staying in the premiium suite. Would recommend the burger in the restaurant, very nice The only down point in that the mattress was very hard and uncomfortable."

"My stay here was fantastic. It exceeded my expectations is pretty much every way, including luggage being taken up to my room so it was waiting for me when I was ready to check in. Breakfast was great and the wait wasnt very long at all for the meals being freshly cooked. The only downside was that the bed was hard as a rock, and i prefer a softer bed. I would recommend this hotel! "

"The property is pretty tired looking in all areas of the rooms. Noticed the room was quite chilly so turned in the oil heater in the room. There was a hole in the tiles by the toilet handle and mould round the showers door. The next evening on returning to the room the room was very cold and the window open but the handle was broken so couldn’t close it. "Hard to explain but definitely not as good as it looks in pictures. It’s kind of like it’s been repurposed at a hotel but in a cheap way. Fixtures and fittings are cheap kind of way and it’s poorly finished. Poor lighting etc. no coffee machine in room. Good to have the gym next door and great dining options. Very friendly staff at reception."

"The situation was excellent, the staff were excellent but the property was very tired and in dire need of redecoration. The garden areas in the lodge where we were staying were largely overgown and uncared for which was a shame. The staff were excellent and very helpful. With investment, this could be a 4/5 star hotel given its location. Presently, it is 2/3 star at best."
