"I love the rooms and the laid back decor. I could live here! My stay was short and i was pleasantly surprised to wander and find live music in the cute retro gameroom/lounge. Close to the interstate. Easy to get anywhere in the area. "

"A great location to stay for a college football weekend. We were able to enjoy everything Iowa City has to offer without ever moving our car as it’s well located on the walking mall downtown. The hotel’s whimsical decor added positively to our experience!"

"I love the Heartland Inn for going to events at Carver Arena. It is within walking distance and there are several options for food or drink along the way. The place is showing its age now but the staff is always friendly and helpful. I’ll be back. "

"Loved the fact that it was soo close to the statium. Close to many dinning options! Plus you are staying on the best campus in the world!! Go Hawks... It was my first Hawkeyes game ever!! Definitely will be going again next year!! And i will definitely be staying here again!!"

"The hotel desk was not always manned. However, the room size with 2 beds and a sofa bed was perfect for our family of 6. The microwave and fridge were very appreciated and used. A couple of suggestions would be to include hot water/tea/hot chocolate with the coffee available 24/7 in the lobby and to have some disposable paper products available with breakfast for those caring dishes to their rooms. "
