"The stay was an utter disappointment. Very very noisy guests, loud music, screaming and shouting and loud parties. Impossible to relax and enjoy the mountains. Some guests were even driving up and down with music blasting from their cars. Check in was good and security at the gate very friendly. Depending on your unit you have to carry your luggage from your car a fair distance to the chalet. They should get golf carts to assist with this. The resort should really clamp down on noisy guests day...

"This hotel is located just across the street from the beach, which was great. My room was not sea facing, but I still had a bit of a sea view from the side. The street does get busy with a lot of car traffic & people so you have to be aware of your surroundings & your belongings, esp. when walking around. "Cathedral is the absolute best of the Berg. A truly special place and so grateful to have been able to stay on my way up to Johannesburg. Amazing walks on the doorstep, which are required to ensure the extra kilograms put on by the amazing food is limited. Will definitely be back next time I'm in ZAR. "
