"Our stay, although short, was very nice at Castillo Romano. Theo and Morena made sure to welcome me and my family with open arms. Morena is an amazing cook and very friendly. Don Theo is the best! He helped us with anything we needed in the house and even gave us good advise for our trip to El Salto Del Limón. The castle is well kept and has amazing views. If ever back in the Terrenas with my huge family, I’ll be sure to book again!"

But be aware that a big apartment complex is being built next door, with trucks and caterpillars starting to rumble around shortly after 7 in the morning. "We stayed in the beachfront condo for 5 days with our 15 daughter. We had a great stay. Walked to town down the beach a few times. It was about a 40 minute walk to the beach restaurants on Cabarete Beach."

There was pealing of plaster on the lanai. The family room had connections for TV and other devises , but there was no TV. "This was a comfortable stay! Staff was over the top accommodating to us. The road was under construction so the front desk helped us with an alternate route. Which we were grateful for with coming off a 5 hour drive. Room was clean, had ac and hot water. There was a nice pool and there's places to eat within walking distance. We decided to try their restaurant. Ana was amazing!!!! Our Spanish is not the best. But Ana was incredibly patient with us and by the end of the evening we all laughed and enjoyed the evening. If for nothing else, I'd recommend this as a stay because of the staff! They made our evening great! We had to get back on the road early but they did offer a breakfast in the morning. Beautiful place right on the beach at an affordable rate! "

"Joel and his team were welcoming and friendly from the start. We stayed in the Mexican cabana, which was unique, wonderful, and very comfortable. The beds were especially great. The beach is one of best we have ever experienced--for walking, swimming, views, and cleanliness. The hotel provided an excellent beach area, with plenty of lounge chairs and shade available when needed. The attached restaurant served delicious food and the drinks were tasty. There are several sweet, apparently well-cared-for dogs at the hotel and we enjoyed their company and their playfulness on the beach."
