"As a solo female hiker, I spent 3 nights at Hotel del Glaciar Libertador and felt like I got value for money as far as convenience and location. When I first got there, it was peak summer season and I was very worried at check in when the printout of hotel guests with reservations did not include my name.I had just flown over 40 hours from Malaysia and didn't have backup plans! Luckily the receptionist sorted me out, citing a system error between Expedia and the local hotel booking system (I hope they have resolved this!) and luckily there was a room available for me. I still give them 5 stars because they sorted it out quickly and I had all the convenience I needed. The buffet breakfast was a delivious toast and fruits every morning, simple but hearty. All my tour companies (Hielo y Aventura and Solo Patagonia) had no problem picking me up in the mornings because it's a very recognizable hotel in a central location. My room was very spacious and clean, and well equipped with the amenities I needed to relax after strenous hikes everyday. It's also walking distance (about 5-10 minutes) of the city center where all the shops and dining is. There is a convenient grocery store next door for simple snacks. Although this hotel has many backpackers (I think) I got a lot of privacy in my room and it was very safe and quiet for me."

"As a solo female hiker, I came to El Chalten with the intention of having a luxury cabin life experience so that I could relax and take care of my body after strenuous hikes. I got that and so much more, with Los Cerros del Chalten exceeding all my expectations. My best impression of the value of hotel was the 5 star guest service: I had developed toenail injury post Big ice trek in Perito Moreno, and also got travellers disease, which took me out for two days. I felt so taken care of by Valentina, who gave me emergency meds and checked in on my health, Candela, who situated me in El Chalten and gave me great trail directions, and Flor, who made excellent recommendations for me to go to Huemul reserve and also accomodated those changes when I fell ill. My room was great, I had a wonderful view of the valley and could see when conditions were clear for heading to the trails. I loved the comforts of dining on site especially. The buffet service every morning was mouth-watering and healthy. The hotel is also within walking distance of the pharmacy, souvenir shops, trailheads (1km to Senda Fitz Roy entrance), and many restos. I especially loved how they served free flowing fruits, pastries and smoothies every day at the lobby - this was super convenience for guests in summer. Highly recommend."

"We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Destino Calafate! The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and met all our expectations. The staff was absolutely wonderful – always friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to provide us with information, help organize transfers, and ensure everything during our stay went smoothly. Communication was effortless via WhatsApp, and the Wi-Fi was easy to access. The location is also very convenient, just a 15-minute walk to the city center, making it easy to explore the area while enjoying some quiet away from the hustle and bustle. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Calafate."
