"Great stay"

"Everything was excellent - from our room to the spa facilities. The breakfast was delicious - particularly the pastries! The only thing I would have liked would have been a friendlier check in. We were handed our keys with no introduction to the hotel, where to find what or when breakfast was. Apart from that - a great weekend was had!"

"The hotel was beautiful. Rooms was incredibly cosy and bed was so comfortable. The only thing I’ll note is that for me, as a solo traveler, I felt that the hotel was a few socio econmic levels above what I’m comfortable in. It seemed to be frequented by a higher echelon of society and as a result I felt a bit out of place. That said, I’d wanted a quiet solo retreat to rest and relax and I was able to do just that. "

"Overall my stay was very good. The staff and service was excellent. However, my room was facing the main road, and although my room was on the second floor, due the drafts from the gaps in the windows, it also allowed the street noise from those less fortunate to echo into my room in the early hours of the morning. Also on my final night, after i had eaten, i tired to get back into my room only or the key card to fail. After returning to the reception to get a replacement card, i tried again to...

"No lift, would have appreciated staff to help with bags as i had injured my ankle and lugging bags up a crooked staircase was not ideal. Room seemed a little dated but decent"

"It is a beautiful hotel with a great history. All the staff were great. Lovely breakfasts. We were there 4 nights and had one dinner there which was great. We wanted to explore Cheltenham the other nights. Only hiccup was on our third day as elderly we decided to make use of the hotel first class facilities (out door heated swimming pool etc) and the most beautiful and comfy lounge. And although our room was empty at 10am , housekeeping did not service it until 3pm in spite of requests. "

"Lovely room with a view of a beautiful stone church. Excellent amenities in room. Room service provided us with a delicious breakfast. Very comfortable bed with a selection of pillows.Very gracious staff. There are some stairs you must climb to enter the building. Staff will assist you if needed."

"Great hotel for a weekend trip. Lovely reception from staff and good facilities. Loved the spa, really had the chance to unwind and recharge. Prices in the bar were a bit steep but generally good."
