"Nothing to write home about. 1. I felt the driveway needs some fixing and the parking should be closer to the units, I don’t get why it is closed when that space can be utilized. 2. The shower heads were also not good enough as water flow was not fast enough or had the right pressure. It was spraying all over."

"Could see that this used to be great (when photos were taken) While it was was mostly clean, there was a lot that didn’t live up to the promise or what we paid for. Lots of stains too. The bed linen is specifically tired and needing replacement - in no ways can it be called premium. There was no Wi-Fi and no bathtub - also both mentioned in the property description for the superior cottage (Crane Cottage). Convenient for the hockey festival at Michaelhouse and beautiful views but can’t say...

"Fantastic stay here while visiting the Boer war sites in the area with Raymond. The premises is a renovated historic farm from the war era, retaining as much of the original detail as possible. The bar is cosy and reeks of history while the dining area is a modern addition. I stayed in the old house, which has been converted into a number of en-suite bedrooms. Nature surrounds you in the beautiful grounds and the staff were friendly and attentive. Meals were simple but filling and fantastic. Raymond is incredibly knowledgeable and the tours he gives are full of expert detail. Although I had read a number of books about the war, actually visiting the sites on and around this property really brought home the tragedy and futility of the events. Thanks to Raymond and the staff for looking after me and showing me around! "

"The Cathedral Peak hotel is a delight to stay at with great rooms, tasty food and excellent service from the staff. The mountains and trails are amazing and the whole experience 5 stars. Plan your visit to arrive before sunset since road to the hotel can be challenging but perfectly safe."

"Such a lovely place to visit. Friendly staff all round, excellent service. The whole resort very neat and clean. Food was good. Overall a pleasant and relaxing stay with beautiful views of the Drakensburg mountains. Comes highly recommended. "

"The Ledges is in a gorgeous and tranquil Drakensberg location. The cottage was clean and comfortable and far exceeded our expectations. Owners Adrian and Jessica were exceedingly kind and generous and made a plan to get an important bag we’d left behind delivered to Johannesburg, for which we’re eternally grateful!"
