The tent, an outdoor bathroom and fabulous views of the waterfall. The rooms are clean and tidy but do expect insects ( and monkeys) as the resort is in the jungle. "When we got to the hotel they 1st said they didn't do hotel's. Com so i was about to cancel my credit card as i thought i had been scammed had i done so it would have been very inconvenient. After 20 minutes of panicking the manager came over and said we did have a booking. If i had not paid upfront i would have walked out NOT HAPPY 😡"

"Its a property about 7 km away from town. Its a beautifully built property . As i understand it has 6 rooms, and a pool table in the loft. Great staff. There is no lift but its not an issue. There are small things they need to see to. Like salt and pepper shakers ( rather than sticking your fingers into the salt/pepper jar. ) there are no tissues in the room/bathroom. No hand washers - but lovely towels. The scenery from the small restaurant is amazing. This is place i may stay at again"

"The opportunity to stay in a villa surrounded by tea fields was too hard to miss out on. We arrived from Badula on the train and were welcomed by the staff at the house. It was clean and comfortable and a 15 minute walk into town. The next morning we were given a great breakfast and then walked into the tea field adjoining the property. "Nestled in Ella on WaterFalls Rd is the ‘Ella Alpine Resort’ offering a serene stay, great views and service. We booked a 4-night stay and our room was clean & comfortable. I requested a hair dryer and one was promptly delivered! Currently under new ownership and undertaking improvements, the owner kindly checked in via WhatsApp, before arrival, on arrival and during our stay. The new onsite manager, Priyanatha is also amazing! He was welcoming and made our stay very comfortable and memorable. Breakfast (if your room includes this) was always prepared fresh by the cook with delicious fresh fruit & juice each day to your liking or request. On one night we requested dinner (as we were returning late after a day trip) and this was made to our requests and was also yummy! The property is walking distance to the town Center or a tuk tuk will also get you there. Only issue is the road to access the property. I know this has nothing specifically to do with the Alpine Resort! However many hotels, resorts, home stays, rooms to rent are on this road and it would be awesome if they banded together to ensure access is improved. Currently some sections are narrow and difficult to drive making it difficult for cars and even the Tuktuks! Recommend this hotel for a wonderful getaway from the noise and bustle of the town. Night skies are just awesome!"

"If you're seeking an immersive nature experience, Yala Safari Camping is an unforgettable adventure. Nestled near the Yala National Park in Sri Lanka, this camping site offers an ideal blend of wilderness and comfort. The tents are beautiful. Calling them tents probably is not the right term. They are so spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, offering a balance between rustic charm and modern convenience. The tub in the room is such a nice touch. The highlight, of course, is the proximity to the park itself. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle and then heading out for a safari is an experience that’s hard to beat. After a day of exploration, the campsite offers a peaceful retreat with delicious meals. The food is freshly prepared, and the chef does a fantastic job. The whole team is wonderful; so gracious and do their best to meet every request, always with a smile. Overall, Yala Safari Camping offers an excellent balance of adventure, nature, and comfort. Whether you’re a wildlife enthusiast or just looking for a unique getaway, it’s a fantastic option that provides an authentic and memorable safari experience. It is beyond magical. Leaving here is hard. "
