We were so glad we picked to stay here - the setting is beautiful and it was great to get a better feel of the countryside of Laos rather than just the cities. Perfect place to chill. If your main reason for going to the area is to do activities in vang vieng I would stay in the city itself as it is quite a long taxi drive (about 40 mins) but if you want a relax and occasional activity in Vang Vieng then this is perfect. "Domon hotel is an older hotel, & could do with some tlc, but because of the warm welcoming & helpful young man on front desk this was easy to overlook. He was eager to please & on arrival asked us if we wanted a larger room as hotel was going through a quiet time. He also greeted us every day & asked if we needed anything.
