The property is very well maintained. Enjoyed the big windows to enjoy God's magnificent creation. The weather was chilly and rainy, so we couldn't spend much time outdoors, but sure did sit by the windows alot. Sunsets and full moon over the water was just beautiful. We drove up to see the Boldt castle and spent a day in that area. We would come back in an instant if it was closer. Sure glad it was available when we needed it. Price was right.

Absolutely wonderful- already planning our next trip. The house is perfect size for us- my husband, me, and two young adult children. Easy to find, easy to enter. We didn’t have our dogs but it is dog friendly. It’s so comfortable, the views were breathtaking. We saw a comet and several shooting stars at night. 20 min or so drive to fort drum.

Lakehouse getaway
This beautiful, very clean and comfortable home provided the getaway we had hoped for. From the kitchen to the living quarters, we had everything needed for the comforts of home. The lakefront deck was so relaxing for morning coffee and evening sunsets. The shore road is a great, safe, route for walking and bicycling. We will definitely return. Heather is a message away for any needs. We had none! Thank-you, Heather!

We had a wonderful stay! I can’t think of a thing that house did not have. It was the cleanest vacation rental we have ever stayed in! Any questions we had were quickly answered by the host. The views were amazing. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Wish I would have booked us a longer stay!

Excellent quiet retreat
Location is 5 stars for view and neighborhood. Four stars is just a heads up that the big stores are a little farther than you might be used to, and as the host says, there can be a lot of deer to avoid. Everything else is ideal. The kitchen is exceptionally well-appointed, and she has anticipated nearly every need.

We had a wonderful time at the Lake house. The setting was just what we were looking for. Beautiful sunsets and listening to waves from the deck and living room. The house itself is very welcoming and Heather was wonderful to work with.

A Hidden Gem
Lakehouse at Pillar Post is a property that is well loved. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage we rented was adorable and very well maintained providing incredible views of Lake Ontario from several windows and the deck. It’s a perfect place to kick back and relax. There are several state parks nearby—for hiking, fishing (world class), and swimming. The owners thought of everything. They were quick to respond to any questions we had. We give Lakehouse at Pillar Point our highest recommendation.

We had an amazing 4-night stay at the lake house. The house is very comfortable and had everything we needed. The host provided a lot of tips to make our stay even more enjoyable. The surrounding area is very peaceful and quiet. There were no cars passing by so we were completely immersed in the sounds of nature. Location was perfect for our trip to the Thousand Islands area and we would recommend this lake house to anyone.

Off by itself, very quiet and a beautiful view as well as a beautiful home. Didnt test the smaller room but main room mattress was a good mattress, much appreciated. My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer. Just a heads up, the water is a little odd flavored but bring a few bottled waters instead of drinking from the sink if you have a problem with that. Has pictures of what appears to be a real good boy in the living room so be prepared to smile. Nice deck and plenty of room to stretch out.

Eclipse trip.
The lake house was very clean, quiet and relaxing. My wife, myself, my daughter and her husband drove up from Pennsylvania to see the eclipse. The rear deck was our favorite spot since the view is amazing. The westerly view made for some spectacular sunsets. The house is well equipped with whatever you need. The host was friendly, helpful and responded to my texts in a timely manner, almost immediately. I would recommend this house to anyone who wants a place off the beaten path with a great view.

New Years Eve stay
I’ve never walked in to a VRBO and had my expectations of the view and home exceed what I thought. Great thought into many details. Bed and pillows so comfortable. Loved the open concept and being able to see the lake. We had an issue with the water pump but Heather did everything she could to resolve quickly. Would have loved to complete our stay but the water issue could not be resolved. Not the hosts fault. It was out of their control. All that said we plan to be back. Great host, very thoughtful and responsive.
