"We arrived at a lovely warm house. Place was spacious and cozy. Sadly, we found that there had been mice in our beds and a number of the beds had been soiled with mouse excrement. A family of mice were present in the kitchen area and had left their mark in drawers, cupboards and a couch. Put a dampener on the stay and we were not able to have this issue resolved with clean bedding. Just an offer of some mouse bait to place around the property."

"I loved staying at Come By Chance the location was perfect for the whole family, a short walk to the beginner's ski slope and toboggan run, as well as pubs and supermarket. I was a bit disappointed at the cleanliness (toilets hadn't been cleaned properly in my opinion) and size of the living room, I thought it was going to be larger than it was. "The noise from people moving around upstairs is very loud, and its nearly pointless going to bed before the tenants in the apartment above go. The queen mattress, and at least 1 of the single beds in the premise need to be replaced. The couch is lounge is uncomfortable to sit on - this also needs to be replaced. "

"We all loved the accommodation. It was very welcoming, great layout with different areas to spread out but big enough we could all be together for meals and games. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with every utensil/machine you could ever need for cooking. The kids loved the bunk/hangout room. Love it. We will be recommending to friends and would be our first choice for our next stay at Dinner plain."

"Overall a wonderful stay in a beautiful location. The staff were friendly and attentive. The ski storage/drying room was much appreciated. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend was the onsite restaurant - tried it once for breakfast and found the portion sizes to be small for the high price. Dining options were somewhat limited in town for a place with “dinner” in its name but the food at the two local pubs was decent. Easy access to Hotham with shuttles running hourly. "
