Snow Brainer-dog friendly

Snow Brainer is a fully self-contained, three storey chalet located in the unique alpine village of Dinner Plain. This three bedroom, two bathroom chalet (sleeping up to 7) has recently undergone a full modern renovation and is luxuriously fitted out for your enjoyment and comfort.
Located at the private, western end of Dinner Plain, Snow Brainer Chalet is only a short stroll to the central amenities.
The ground floor consists of two bedrooms, the small on with a set of bunks and the larger bedroom with a tri-bunk and both with built-in robes, TV with built in DVD player in one room, main bathroom with bath, laundry with a large combo washer/dryer and drying room.
The second floor is an open plan lounge room, kitchen and dining room. The fully functional, modern kitchen, comes with pots and pans, plates, cutlery, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer, microwave, oven and a coffee machine. The lounge room has 2 two-seater couches, a gas log fire place and large TV with a selection of DVD's. The dining room has a large timber table which seats eight.
The third/top floor consists of a king bed (that can be split into 2 king singles), built-in robes, ensuite bathroom, TV with built in DVD player and cosy corner armchair to sit and look out on the snow gums in the adjacent National Park.
The chalet has good heating with heaters in all bedrooms and a gas log fire in the central lounge room. All bedding and towels are supplied and the property provided two standard car spaces. Snow Brainer welcomes our furry friends for an extra $50.00 per stay. No more than 2 dogs please

Amazing place to stay

The house is perfect and comes with a range of amenities. The wifi was a lifesaver for us. The host has also been amazing in correspondence. Highly recommended!

Family Holiday

The experience was good. I guess no trip to the snow is cheap but I feel the cost versus value isnt getting better as years go by. We had a wonderful holiday but we certainly paid for it.

A snowy beauty at Dinner Plain

Loved the SnowBrainer given the perfect location for warmth, beauty and comfort as our snow vacation home. Would certainly callout the proximity to all activities at dinner plain and mount Hotham a plus yet a very reasonable stay for your family with pets. The property owners and managers have been very communicative and helpful, sure could help with some loyalty points for our next visit as we can see for a return soon. We would highly recommend the SnowBrainer for all seasons.

Had a blast !

My family and I took our German shepherd to the snow for the first time and he absolutely loved it. We also loved how clean and nice the property was. It was warm and very accomodating. The only issue we had was with the fridge it was only cooling the items at the back and not at the front. But other than that it’s an amazing place to stay at !!! I definitely recommend staying here. I’ll definitely be rebooking again for next year ! Thanks Josie ! You were also very easily to communicate with and very prompt!!

Cozy, comfortable and delightful pet friendly property

We had a stellar time at Dinner Plain & a wonderful stay at ‘SnowBrainer’. We arrived later than planned and it was so lovely to find lights & the gas fire on for us. It felt like home from the moment we arrived. The beds are very comfortable and bedding warm & snuggly. The kitchen & bathrooms are well appointed with clean modern fixtures & fittings and very comfortable. While certainly not a negative (it makes for a delightful view), do be aware that the property is 3 storeys and the stairs are quite steep. The timber outdoor entry stairs can also get very slippery after a little snow and there is no handrail, so just be extra careful when it’s icy. We just loved our stay and can’t wait to return - hopefully next year.

Great property, however many maintenance issues require attention but remained unresolved

Snowbrainer is a lovely property and we enjoyed out time there with family and friends. The layout is good and makes the most of available space. The living area and kitchen is mid level between 2 floors so be aware there are flights of stairs without handrails which may be awkward for some. The main bedroom on the top floor is huge with its own on-suite. The bottom floor serviced the entry, bathroom, 2 bedrooms one with a double bunk and not much room for anything else, while the other bedroom sleeps 3 and is quite sizeable. We did have one major issue which was repaired. We tried a number of times to contact the host during our stay regarding this issue and others to discuss the circumstances but unfortunately we are yet to receive a reply. There are numerous maintenance issues requiring attention. While some are easy fixes others would be awkward to address with a constant flow of guests coming and going. The property offers a great little getaway.

enjoyable stay

Thankyou for letting us stay at your apartment. We all had a great few days at Dinner plain.We found that staying at dinnerplain was better then staying on Mt hotham as our kelpie could spend time with us and we were able to drop the kids off at the snow and pick them up each day or they would catch the bus. The aprtment was convenient for all of us and the master bed was very comfortable. We would love to visit again .

A little distant from where we were attending wedding and otherfriends but instructions on getting there impeccable and having heating on with our rather late arrival was a lovely suprise .Facilities were as represented only issues were coffee machine was to initimidating to use without clearer instruction snf teenage angst til they found the wifi connection

Wonderful Surprise, Snow! But ...

Six Adults stayed in Snow Brainer (62 to 70 yrs old) plus 2 Samoyeds. Snow an unexpected joy, except snow chains had to be on & together with a bad accident going up Mt Hotham about 30km/hour up 29 kms of road. Ended with 2 car loads arriving in the dark. NO handrails up front stairs! Very scary! Because of snow parking was a problem. Once in it is very nice, but the third bedroom was so small you have to go outside to change your mind and it meant someone over 60 having to climb up the bunk bed. Missing a few luxury items like tissues, soft cloth for cleaning down surfaces, electric blankets on beds, extra bath mat and towels etc. We could not get the heater/log fire up stairs working (no instructions). This place would be great for young families or young people. Outlook was very enjoyable.

Warm and cosy chalet

It was the family's first time in dinner plain. Everything was spot on and location wise since we go to hotham and snow board almost everyday we can easily catch a bus to and back. The chalet is clean, cosy and super warm even when we can see the snow falling outside the window. The view is superb. It is packed with amenities and you can easily contact the owner if you have any questions during your stay. We will definitely be back again and I can't wait.
