This recently updated home has the love built into its walls to make you feel right at home. The home is classic architecture with modern updates. 4 of the 5 bedrooms rooms open up to the most spectacular view of the ocean. It has beach access to the private beach, about 1 minute walk away from the property. The house also has its own private deck for water access, kayaking, paddle boarding and lounging. The house comes staffed with a cook, housekeeper and butler to take care of your needs, and ensure your vacation is as you hope it to be. We also have a concierge who can assist you with planning all aspects of your trip.

Family and 50th Birthday celebration
Cleveland our driver, security and tour guide for the week was waiting for us in plain site as we arrived at the Montego Bay airport. We stopped on our way to the house for a rum punch and a bit of relaxing. The house was stunning! The gate was opened and we backed right down to reveal our stunning place that would be home for the next week. The staff was waiting to great and assist us out of the van. Samantha, Nigel and of course Tony were all there with huge smiles. Their attention to details we didn’t even know we needed is what set them above any bar that may have been set. The house was immaculate and Samantha really went out of her way thinking of us and our kids (15,15,13,10) all the time. Nigel, acted as “butler”, security, running trainer, and get it done guy. He found someone to bring jet skis right to the dock at the house. He took a few of us to the local market (walking)to do some shopping for Tony. He was waiting for use everyday upon our return with AMAZING piña colada’s that were non alcoholic with a bottle of rum for the adults. The kitchen…. Ordering only local fare, Tony certainly did offer his absolute best. From curried goat, to conch civiché, to ackee and saltfish and of course his famous french toast, our mouths and bodies were nourished with love. The 50 birthday party was above and beyond. ❤️ The ability to seamlessly go from the pool to canon ball into the ocean, perfection. Snorkeling all the time right under the deck was pure magic.

The staff at Portside Villa are truly wonderful! Nigel,Tony, Samantha and our driver Wayne were the best ever! They made every day so easy and made everything happen that we wanted to do. The owners were quick to respond and great to work with! We will return!

Nine Adults nailed relaxation
We had a relaxing week at Portside Villa- the rental process was quite simple. The pictures you see on line were taken at a time that things were "fresh." The outside could use some repairs to the deck, electricity (small shock to foot coming up stairs), and pool concrete. Seats to kayaks dry rotted; don't hold you up. At times water lacking in property that was resolved when brought to their attention. Would recommend improvement in how chef Tony goes about planning meals for the week. Suggest a book of recipes/ingredients and pictures so guest could select choices. Stressful to keep going back to guests needing items. When shopping should be only picking up items guests will need- not one gallon of cooking oil (really? we were just there for 4 more days; asked him to put back). Food at grocery store expensive in comparison to US. Samantha was so sweet, kept place in order. Nigel most helpful in all of his duties. House could use more activities/games to play as many places closed due to slow season. The large jengo set, pool table and pool certainly were used. Hope our suggestions are taken seriously to improve guest experiences in the future.

Best vacation ever! Chef Tony’s food is a god send. We went to local restaurants and Chef Tony’s food was better than all of them. The staff made sure we were safe, took care of us and made us feel at home.

We had an amazing time, the home was beautiful. The staff were the best, Tony the chef was amazing. Took us along to the market to shop for groceries, explained everything in detail, catered to everyone’s tastes and needs. He was amazing. Sam the housekeeper was on top of everything. We never had to ask, she just anticipated all our needs. Nigil the butler was so attentive to our every need, made the surprise proposal magical. Everything was perfect from day one. Exceptional service, exceptional food. They really make you feel welcome! The view from the home is spectacular. We will be returning soon!

We booked a week for a family vacation—mom, 4 adult children (30s), 3 spouses/partners and a 3-year old grandson. House was lovely and clean. Chef was excellent; butler and maid were both very good. Manager wasn’t as pleasant and never showed up at all. Beach is nearby but gated and locked so can’t go without an escort. Perfect for a lazy week in the sun. Main road is very close to the house so trucks & noise all day and night. The public beach is nearby ($20 fee) and had a very loud P A system all day Friday that was quite obnoxious. Other days it wasn’t a bother. No walking out of the house without an escort limited us to staying exclusively on premises unless you book an excursion or walk to market w/ the chef or butler.

Everything at the property was lovely! The staff was amazing, courteous, helpful and very accommodating. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us. The only small drawback was the walk to the beach - though very close, it was along a main road with lots of traffic. But it didn't detract from a wonderful stay.

Best Birthday Trip Ever
Me and my group of 9 had a wonderful experience at this property. The staff was phenomenal and made sure every need we had was met above and beyond. The food was sensational! Portside Villa - Family Vacation
The property itself and the ocean view was spectacular, however the location on the main road was very noisy due to the constant heavy traffic, which made it difficult to sleep at nights. The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond what was expected of them to ensure our stay was pleasurable. They get a 5+ star rating for their phenomenal and professional service. Monique was on top of keeping the house very clean and ensured that we had everything we needed. Negell was outstanding, especially on the Kayak rides. He was up at the crack of dawn and was always available to fulfill our every requests. Chef Tony, who we affectionately called the singing chef, prepared authentic Jamaican cuisine every day. The staff beautifully decorated the Villa, and served up a sit-down, three course meal prepared by Chef Tony for a birthday celebration. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

50th Birthday celebration
I booked this property for my 50th birthday and it did not disappoint! The pictures are amazing but the property itself met & exceeded our expectations. There were 8 of us (all women) who stayed at the house & there was plenty enough room for everyone. All of the rooms have balconies, except one, with gorgeous views! The pool was amazing especially at night when it changed color. We enjoyed kayaking, our own private beach, chilling on the dock & lounging on the covered patio. There was a Bluetooth speaker there for us to use whenever we wanted & we did just that! The staff at Portside Villa was so gracious & attentive they made us feel like family. Chef Tony created a special birthday dinner for me & fed us like Queens all week long. Everything we ate was top notch! Michelle made sure we had our coffee & fresh orange juice in the morning & clean rooms when we returned from our outings for the day. Her smile was a great way to start the day. And what can I say about Negell!! I wanted to bring him home with me lol. He made us feel safe & welcomed. He was super attentive & helpful, he even went out in the rain for us the morning of our departure. He made our stay the best ever! I can't forget our drivers Wayne & Cleveland, super great people too! Overall I can say I really enjoyed my birthday at Portside Villa. We've even talked about coming back next year!

Best accommodations and vacation ever!
There aren't enough positive things to say about the people and the accommodations. We had the most wonderful vacation together and the people from Portside Villa made it even better. The entire staff is attentive and engaging, welcoming and very helpful in everything from navigating travel to arranging local fun. The nearby private beach is quiet and relaxing and the pool is great for gathering around to relax. The views, cool breezes and warm sunshine are a so great to enjoy but in a house where every night you are there you feel like you are at your own home. We slept like babies, ate like kings, played like kids and relaxed like there wasn't a care in the world. Highly recommend this wonderful place for a vacation and will definitely be back again!

The villa was pictured as listed! The staff was kind and sweet! They ensured everyone was taken care of and happy at all times. Going above and beyond! Amazing spot to enjoy time together
After delaying my sisters wedding twice due to COVID we were long overdue on a celebration together. This was a treat for all of us abd did not disappoint. 6 girls flew in from all over the nation to celebrate my sister getting married. The view was spectacular and the private beach was just a few houses down the street. We ate every meal at the house and chef Tony went above and beyond accommodating our "diverse" diet requests. He made us a lot Indian inspired food and the flavors were amazing....every meal was fit for a king! And he even sang for us with his soulful voice, it brought us all to tears. Michelle helped us set up Bachelorette games like she was a part of the family and our Butler Negel made sure we were safe any where we needed to go and took care of us. We did some jet skiing, the luminous lagoon, and massages at the house. The rest of the time we enjoyed the pool, played games, and ate the delicious food Tony made. The staff really is service oriented and the butler lives on site in the back house; it was a little unusual to have 24 hour in house service but it really was a genuine interaction with each of them. And we were so grateful to have an escort when we left the property to get cash or more alcohol....its a bit more sketchy than our group had anticipated and I was glad to be required to be escorted places for our safety. We were in good hands though! We had an amazing time and it was for sure a Bachelorette trip fir the books! If I had one insight to provide is that being on "Island time" can be a little frustrating if you try to plan everything last minute. I tried to preplan out trip with Deana but she forgot to mention the holiday closures and curfews put into place place during our stay which hindered us doing what we had originally planned. I guess you just gotta be flexible and embrace the 'Ya Mon' philosophy...also, they only accepted cash for excursions, transport, and tips (groceries abd booking with card was okay). Carrying that much cash on me made me uncomfortable and going to the atm in Survivor Bay was not something I'd want to do again.

We didn't want to leave!
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the staff and welcomed to the property. The property has character - it's classic authentic Jamaican style, and we loved that! We opted not do a resort for a reason! Tony, the chef, was very accommodating with our meal choices, almost cooked too much food every night, we had so many choices! We did request local food as opposed to canned/processed foods so you want to make that clear from the beginning. Negil, our butler, was more than just a butler. He accompanied us when we needed to go into the local town and on outings. But he became our friend. If the kids wanted to go to the private beach but the adults wanted to stay at the house, he would accompany the kids to the beach. Michelle, the housekeeper, helped with laundry and general upkeep. Our drivers were also so kind, and when we wanted local recommendations for restaurants or live music, they were ready to accommodate. Our concierge was super responsive, helping us to book group outings at Chukka, Blue Hole, Mystic Mountain and tubing. The property is about 35-40 min from Ocho Rios, but only 10 min from Trelawny where you can do river rafting and tubing. Overall, a very very positive experience, mon! We do intend to return and we miss everyone so much!

Portside Villa-Perfect Girl Trip Vacation
My girlfriends and I planned our Jamaica Girl's Trip six months ago. This trip was special and dear to us, as four of us were to celebrate turning 50 this year. Aside from our birthday milestone, we had suffered two heartbreaking losses to our circle. Deanna handled every request, inquiry, and change with professionalism, patience and attention to detail. That was just the arrangements prior to our arrival. Upon arrival to the villa, every member of the staff was waiting for us with a smile and genuine welcome to what would be our home for the next six days. Ms. Michelle, our housekeeper is an absolute joy. And you must have her make you a cup of coffee! She was so sweet and absolutely perfect in her suggestions. The baby of our group actually had her birthday during our trip. Ms. Michelle asked us to leave our party decor with her as we went out and enjoyed our day's events. When we arrived back to the villa, she had completely taken care of the most beautiful decorations. Chef Tony's daily meals were beyond delicious. He was attentive to the group's unfamiliarity with some island dishes. He patiently explained each meal's pairings and even added some of our favorites. Everything was always served hot, promptly and so delicious. Cleveland our driver was a delight. Our rides were filled with music and showing us places to add to our daily activities. He always had a smile and made sure we were safe at all stops. Negell was the cherry on top for us all. He was not only our butler, but ensured we were safe and well kept at all times. Never did we have to ask for a thing. He went above and beyond in every facet of our stay. He was polite and patient, as we had questions galore. The staff was so trustworthy and protective in the villa and on our adventures throughout Jamaica. They treated us as family coming to visit. We truly were a little sad to leave them. It was conclusive at the end of our stay, never would we choose to stay at a resort but rather at the villa. Their service and energy are beyond five stars.

Incredible Bachelorette Trip
Me and 9 of my girlfriends (all in our 30s) stayed at the villa for 4 days for my bachelorette party getaway and absolutely loved it!!!! The house is beautiful. The photos do not do it justice because seeing it in person feels so much more grand and luxurious - a little piece of paradise to yourself. It is so clean and well kept and has everything you may need. The staff at the house deserves all of the praise in the world. The chef asked us what we wanted and accommodated our group’s allergies and all of our greatest desires. He went out of his way to make sure we all enjoyed the food. The food also tasted incredible!! We love seafood so his different types of fish and coconut shrimp were a hit with the group. Our butler was the most attentive, sweet and generous human. He provided five star service all the time (even when we had lofty requests like three rounds of pina coladas late at night). He was always nice and gracious and we will all particularly miss him. The housekeeper, was very sweet and did a great job dealing with the mess 10 women leave (sorry!). The driver at the house not only made sure we got places but stayed there with us and checked in on us to make sure everything was ok and was also very sweet. Finally, the house travel concierge helped us a lot with activity and reservation planning, as well as arranging for covid tests at the house. We could not have done this trip in such a smooth way manner without her. Overall the place was totally incredible and beautiful, the staff super helpful and nice and we felt like royalty. None of us wanted to leave and are talking about doing another trip. PS: don’t skip on the private beach because it is beyond what you could imagine. We were happy we did that instead of the beach club nearby. Thank you all!!!

Nothing but AMAZING
I traveled with a group of 4 other friends , from start to end this trip was Awesomeness. Deana was hands on with communication she made sure of all details, grocery list, Covid testing and trip recommendations. Michelle the housekeeper soft spoken but very hands on to your needs, she learnt each of us and catered accordingly. Negell the butler made sure we didn’t lift a finger, he made this trip much more fun and amazing, we ask he delivered there was nothing he didn’t do and nothing was to difficult for him to handle and also thank you BJ we lost power one day for a few hours and he brought over the speaker for music etc. Last but not least Chef Tony can throw down, we requested and all Jamaican menu and he definitely delivered FOOD WAS BEST that fry chicken, escovitch fish and coconut curry shrimp to die for ... We will definitely be back because Portside Villa definitely felt like Home.

This trip was everything we never knew we needed!
My friends and I just returned from a 5 day stay at Portside Villa and it was EPIC! The villa is an older cottage that's been updated in the most beautiful way while retaining a rustic feel with the loveliest hardwood floors that gave it such a homie feel. The rooms were huge with incredible views of the ocean which provided each of us privacy if we needed it but we almost never did.! The master bedroom was so big, we'd all hang out in there and watch movies before bed. Our now extended family included Negelle our butler, Michelle who kept everything tidy and Chef Toni who cooked the most amazing meals! We would sit outside on the deck overlooking the ocean and just talk, laugh and eat! Each meal was a culinary work of art that left us always wanting more! Helpful tip: When ordering groceries, only get what you need for meals and maybe a few snacks. We purchased more food than we actually needed for the time we stayed resulting in a hefty grocery bill. When not relaxing we were almost always in the pool and it was sooo much fun! Michelle was soft-spoken, so kind and made the best cup of coffee each morning! Negelle was incredible and took such good care of us! He stayed on the property and made sure we had everything we needed. He would frequently ask us "are you guys ok"? Netflix and the Bluetooth speaker outside were our frequented entertainment and they were all we needed! We went on a few excursions away from the property but always rushed back to the villa because it just felt like home! We were simply blown away by the way they all went about creating such a wonderful experience for us! Like other reviewers, the crew felt like family by the end of the trip. We prayed together, said our goodbys, knowing we would definitely be back!

Too short of a trip !!
I came across this property by pure luck and at the very last minute for my sister and I birthday celebration and I am so HAPPY I did!!! The location, the staff, the security, the home, all turned out 10x better than I expected. The overall esthetic of the Villa itself was clean, open, big and beautiful- the pictures seriously DOES NOT do the place justice whatsoever. Each room had an amazing view and dynamic to it. The staff and service was impeccable!! Deana took so much weight off of my shoulders, helping plan out as much as possible prior to arriving in Jamaica, with transportation, grocery preparations, excursions and COVID testing to get back to the States. Chef Tony treated us like queens which made our birthday’s all the more special, preparing amazing cuisine that everyone in my group misses so much!! Sharing some tips with me and even planning a special candlelight dinner with our favorite flavored cake and ice cream!! Michele was the sweetest, always making sure the house and rooms stayed fresh and clean, although we always brought back sand with us from the beach. And BJ made our stay the most comfortable, always in arms reach whenever we needed, handling any requests no matter the time, checking in on us throughout our stay and the most caring of my group and I. I couldn’t imagine our trip being as successful and memorable staying anywhere else on the island. Thank you Portside Villa family for an unforgettable weekend and we look forward to seeing you on our next trip back to Jamaica :)

Girl's Trip Success!!!
My Sister-in-Law & myself wanted to get away with our girls, and just bond as our previous trip was cancelled due to Covid-19, and this Villa did not disappoint!!! The Villa was exactly as described & more. It felt like HOME!! The Sunset views in the evening while enjoying dinner where exactly what we needed! We sent our meal requirements prior (specifically looking for authentic Jamaican cuisine) to arriving & Chef Tony delivered every single time on every meal! Everything was delicious, and we would be peaking in the kitchen for the next meal daily. He would also take the time to show us how to make dishes, so we could replicate it at home. The rooms where huge and spacious, to the point we didn't even need one of the rooms we thought would be occupied. Ms. Deana was very responsive, and addressed any questions/concerns we had, and assisted us with arranging all of our excursions. She would also come and personally check on us, which was nice to have that direct contact. It felt very welcoming. BJ (The Butler) was also amazing!! With a group of 6 ladies, we always needed something, and he was there when we woke up, until we went to sleep, with a smile & positive attitude helping us with whatever we requested. He played a big part on making this vacation so enjoyable. Lastly, Ms. Garine (sp?) had the sweetest soul. She made all of us feel so taken care of in a motherly way, she would have things done before we could even fix our mouths to ask... On top of how wonderful the property was, they truly helped make our experience AMAZING! It felt like we were leaving family when checking out. Lastly the private beach was perfect, we were enjoying the Villa so much, we almost forgot to go enjoy it. It was clean, had a kayak, paddle boards, daybeds and was only accessible to us. It allowed for a perfect beach day without having to leave the property. We all would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return ourselves :-) Keyosha & Tezrah
