"We had trouble with communication checking in with Radmilla. Part of it was my fault (I don't speak Serbian, and it is their country +it was a last minute booking for us). When I was face to face with Radmilla, her English was great. The apartment was fine, and spacious enough for 6 of us. Vela, who I believe works for Radmilla, was an absolute gem. She had zero English, and I had zero Serbian. She was very patient, and very obviously wanted to be helpful. We laughed quite a bit trying to work...

"This was a lovely apartment but I couldn’t give it a higher rating due to a number issues we had during our stay there. Our apartment didn’t have proper curtains so the room became light as soon as the sum came up - this was not ideal. Communication was difficult as, despite being advertised as speaking English, nobody understood us so we ended up having no hot water for 5 days because nobody could tell us that all we needed to do was switch it on! However, this apartment is in a lovely spot...

"The apartment has a million-dollar view. It's breathtaking and we found it hard to leave. The property was very clean and had all of the amenities we needed. It was convenient to be able to walk to local restaurants, grocery, and the breathtaking beaches. Finally, we felt incredibly lucky to have met our host. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. It felt more like visiting a friend than staying in a rental."

"I was looking for a quiet place to hunker down outside of America, to be able to use an internet connection and get done with done. I found friends, a warm welcome, and so much laughter despite not speaking the same languages. I think my 3 week stay will be forever remembered as one of those transformative moments of my life. Note: the property is not in downtown Ulcinj but in a nearby town Donji Štoj. The house mailing address system is not quite compatible with Vrbo and so it shows as downtown...
