Short family getaway
We enjoyed our short time in Dolwyddelan. The house had lots of room, and was in a great location to explore Snowdonia and other parts of Northern Wales.

Lovely location
It was a nice property in a great location lovely views on surroundings peaceful and relaxing. not too far from shops and some great drives to places in the Northern area. Yes it’s a great spot with lots of room but needs to be centered on basics It was cold and wet but no heating on we had to set the system. It was a bit too dusty even for an old building. Barely no toilet roll. No hand towels lists of to do’s Needs TLC and a bit of investment. In total great place but not great value

Beautiful house, beautiful views, beautiful stay!
This house was perfect for our two families. Our kids had so much fun on the piano and in the back garden, while we adults enjoyed the wonderful conservatory. Easy walk to the village, and to the waterfall and castle.

Despite the weather we had a good time. The children enjoyed their first trip to Wales, the castles and countryside. We all loved the conservatory, what a view, even in the rain.

Exceptional, peaceful, beautiful place
What a wonderful place to sit and write music! It’s so rare to find accommodation with a piano, and to have those perfect views created great inspiration, through the rain and the sunshine. Close enough to the village to not feel isolated, but far enough away to not be disturbed, I’ll certainly return.

Fantastic
This was our second stay although the weather really wet we had a fantastic time. The grounds that the house are in are stunning with amazing views and the river that runs through is breathtaking. The owner is very helpful and we will be back, definitely. The conservatory is Fantastic if the weather is bad as it looks over the amazing hills and is really tranquil so relaxing.

Peaceful pretty location close to village
We had a lovely time in the gorgeous countryside as two families celebrating a 50th with a zipworld trip. The village is convenient but we had privacy. Communication was immediate when we were not given extra pull out bed sheets. We would highly recommend this property and would love to stay again. Field s and river were beautiful and the dog loved chasing the butterflies. We did not need a modern house; it was lovely as it is.

A Perfect Location
The property is ideally placed for Zip World. The views from the back of the property are spectacular. The welcome pack was a nice extra. Four comfortable bedrooms, the shower downstairs was powerful. Everything as needed for a weekend break. The cottage felt homely.

A fabulous stay
A fabulous stay with friends to climb Snowdon and fly like a bird on the fastest zipline. The house was excellently located to get to all the places we wanted. There is even a little castle just a short walk away. The sound of the river was very calming and we had some gorgeous weather. The house itself is lovely and cosy with all the things we needed for self catering. I misread the ad and thought there were 3 double beds which caused some fun when we arrived, but all was sorted with much laughter. There is lots of space inside and out. We loved the huge dining room table which meant we could all sit and eat together. We all said we wished we could stay longer and wouldn't hesitate to come again.

New year weekend
We stayed at this beautiful cottage for new year. Our group were three adults and four children ages nine, twelve and two thirteens. The cottage it’s self is huge and beautiful, if I had to give anything negative it lacks some love and attention (wallpaper peeling off the walls and none of the internal doors closed) these things we looked beyond and enjoyed the scenery from every outlook. The weather was awful but this could not be helped we did still manage to have a fabulous walk to the castle and waterfall which are a 15 minute walk away. We went down over the fields to look at the river that runs along the bottom of the land and I can only imagine how wonderful it would be in summer time. The kitchen lacked oven trays and bin bags and extra food waste bags and we felt that the recycle bins at the top of the drive should be bigger are the can one was already full when we arrived which meant we had to leave our in the kitchen bin which I did not feel happy doing as I wanted to leave the cottage as I found it. Otherwise fantastic. We are looking forward to returning in the near future.

Superb location, very clean and tidy, a bit quirky - my 4yo grandson loved finding all the rooms. Very well equipped. If I had one tiny criticism- the comfy chairs really weren’t comfy - but we loved sitting in the conservatory watching the weather roll over us.

Perfectly described, the views are absolutely stunning
The property is accurately described and has great character and charm. The views from the conservatory are fantastic and could just retire to their late evening and watch the sun set over the mountains. The hosts are fantastic and nothing was too much trouble highly recommended going down to the river about 100 meters down the field perfect for young children and adults alike.

great if you like old fashioned and quirky
could maybe do with a bit of tlc but perhaps that would take away the feel of the house as its lived in and homely. brilliant grounds for exploring especially for kids and dog. not many negatives, could do with another shelf in oven and shower grout a little mouldy otherwise a lovely break even though weather terrible

What a place!!! Loved this property
Me and my family stayed here for 2 nights last week and i wished we had much longer. We were in the area to do a few activities at Zipworld and this was a perfect base. The property was quite old fashioned and has a lived in feel, but i think this is part of the charm and was very cosy. The property had everything we needed for our stay and i must say, the shower was amazing and very powerful as well. There is plenty of living space, which was perfect for us with having 2 young kids. The wifi is also really good, so if you cant do without a tv, you could comfortably watch something on your phone or tablet without buffering. If we had more time and better weather we could have also better utilised the land around the house. There are 2 fields with sheep grazing, however the best thing is the access to the river at the end of the field. On a nice day, this would be a perfect spot for the kids to have a splash and was a great spot for some stone skimming. The house is located just a few mins walk from the village, where theres a pub and a small spar. You are also a 10mins drive from Betws-y-Coed. One thing i would advise is trying to get here for the first time in daylight as i imagine the gate to the drive is hard to locate in the pitch black. There is easily enough space for a few cars, but you will need to do a bit of manoeuvring. What a place! Im already trying to plan our next stay here. Highly recommended.

Memorable Family get together
The house was very homely and set in an ideal setting for us and the dogs. The dogs had a great time exploring the fields and river, all attached to the property. We were very lucky with glorious weather and we did a lot of walking and running in beautiful Snowdonia. The house had everything we needed and we would love to return.
