"Everything and anything in the castle stinks with cat urine! The sanitation department should check this place. A cat killed a mouse right in front of us in the "lobby"... The "apartment" rented to us was not a true rental, it was someone else's full time apartment that was cleaned for us. It had all the articles of the owner. Really gross. The people who live and work there really try hard and are nice, but not disclosing the cat pee stink and the fact that the property was someone's permanent...

"The hotel has no AC. Our room was above the front of the hotel, where everyone gathered on the patio to drink and smoke. The noise and the smell were terrible. The room was hot, and to open the window your room smelled of smoke. We woke up at 6:30 am to the smell of smoke. How dreadful! We asked for a fan, but the hotel did not have any. And the hotel is located on a busy road. Needless to say, we had a terrible sleep. We were cycling the Elbe river. We would not recommend. "

"Lovely friendly staff and fabulous breakfast. Spacious room with nice courtyard view. No air con or fan so room really quite hot at night - windows open meant heard a group of older folk sitting outside and talking loudly around 11.30pm (for quite some time!). Personal choice - would have liked a fridge and TV: appreciate the heritage but if there’s USB sockets, a few more modern amenities could be possible …Hotel in good location - easy walk to sites. Parking behind hotel OK - 5 Euro daily...

"The facility was acceptable. Room was clean. Breakfast area was nice and food was good. However, the presents/support/interest of the innkeepers was nonexistent. At check inn, the innkeeper spoke only German ( no English). We communicated with difficulty via a phone translator. This would have been okay if no other option, accept he indicated his wife spoke English, yet she stayed in their adjoining residence and never attempted to help. After that initial awkward encounter, we did not see...
