They even left a bottle of Chardonnay for our Friday night arrival and Peter brought over 2 great beers!! Their 2 dogs were VERY friendly and my daughter just loved them. "Had a great stay at this beautiful cottage. The location was great, right next to beautiful walks, a lovely village and local pub. Having the wood burner was the magic touch. Only few things I would say. There is no microwave. The heating came on very early and made a tapping noise which woke us up and the hot tub was a wood fire one and despite us constantly going out and topping up the fire we couldn’t get it to temperate. I appreciate it was cold but for whole stay we didn’t go in it so...

"We booked this place only for a couple of nights as we needed somewhere to stay whilst i attended a local hospital. The property itself is nicely renovated, keeping old features of the barn with modern heating and bathroom etc which was lovely. Checkin was easy and the owners were nearby if needed but not intrusive. Nice big sofa and clean everywhere, nice bath and underfloor heating. The surrounding area is lovely, and I imagine if we attended during a time where the whole country wasnt...

"Overall lovely, clean and comfortable. Some comments though A) Need additional signpost in the lane to get to the property B) the hottub was difficult to operate to get the correct temperature at the time we wanted to use it. An initial set up of the correct amount of wood in the stove would help as would more guidance of how long to leave and how much wood needed before water is at a comfortable temperature C) a couple of the showers were too hot to wash hair in , thermostat couldn't cool...
