Chapel Cottage is a beautiful holiday home, with a lovely private garden and parking located in what is known as one of Surrey’s prettiest villages Holmbury St Mary, with unique low beams and door frames characterise the charm of a cottage from it’s heritage. Also, home to the cottage that was featured in the movie ‘The Holiday’. The welcoming cottage has ample space with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms one on the first floor and the second a shower room on the ground floor. The lovely kitchen/diner with Smeg fridge freezer and coffee maker is equipped with everything you could possibly need plus has a separate utility with sink, washing machine and tumble dryer.
With so much to explore you will definitely want to find time to sit in front of the impressive log burner in the lounge on those chilly evenings and relax on the comfy sofa. For couples looking for a romantic break there is even a log burner in the master bedroom. This is a perfect choice for couples, friends and families looking to stay in this quintessential English village where the church, which is lite up in the evening overlooks the village green and has two popular village pubs offering delicious meals with a good selection of local food and ales. There are footpaths leading into the hills and woods of Hurtwood, the largest common land in Surrey, and the surrounding Surrey Hills are very popular with walkers, hikers and mountain bike riders.
Nearby you can visit Denbies Wine Estate, the National Trust Polesdon Lacey, and the Royal Horticultural Society gardens at Wisley. Dorking and Guildford offer the chance for exploring antique shops and picking up supplies, you can also pick up local produce sold from the Kingfisher Farm Shop nearby. You will not want to miss out on walking or cycling to the top of Leith Hill and enjoying a slice of cake and some well-deserved refreshment whilst admiring the stunning view to the South Downs in one direction and London in the other, only 40 minutes by train and you can be in London. Lovely Cottage
We did not want to leave Chapel Cottage. It is a lovely home. We enjoyed the comforts of the cottage, the walk across the green to the excellent pub, and the ability to hike/run/bike on great trails and footpaths right from the cottage. If we get the chance we will be back. The owner was very helpful and very easy to deal with. May thanks.

A beautiful cottage with a lovely, dog-safe garden and amazing walks on the doorstep. Excellent communication from the host. One of the best equipped self-catering places I've stayed in, top quality equipment.
