"Beautiful historical building! Clean and comfortable. Staffs are nice and friendly. Located in safe area. Shopping area is right there. Pharmacy is in front of the building. A few good cafes are besides the hotel. Close to markets, metro station and tourist information booth in Catalunya park. The bus stop for airport shuttle bus ( available 24 hours) is nearby. Very convenient. Highly recommend to stay at this hotel."

"Hotel Colon on one of the best, if not the best hotels in the Gothic Quarter. Everything is in close proximity and easy to get to from the hotel. There’s many dining options around the hotel and I would definitely recommend staying at HC to anyone. There is also a restaurant on site and the breakfast buffet has better food than some of the restaurants I tried outside of the hotel. The staff are amazing, very friendly and welcoming in all areas of the hotel from the moment you walk in. This my top pick to stay for recurring trips to Barcelona."

"This hotel is in a great location, only a few steps from Placa Catalunya and Las Ramblas. We take the Aerobús from the airport right to Placa Catalunya and walk across the park to the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had a balcony room which was nice. The restaurant was closed for construction but they sent us next door to a sister hotel for a great breakfast. "

"The hotel is at the ultimate spot for transportation. The train station is right outside the hotel's front door and it could not get more convenient than that! It is also very close to the port, Las Ramblas, Gothic Quarter and other sites! The breakfast took us by surprise because based on our previous stays in different countries in Europe, we did not expect the buffet to have so many options and the food was delightful! On our first night, there was loud commotion on our floor and we are not sure what exactly happened since we do not speak Spanish well, but eventually the police arrived to settle the situation. It would've been great if the situation was taken care of a bit quicker since it felt like it went on for at least 30 minutes, but these types of things can't quite be predicted so it's understandable. Overall, a great hotel at a great location! "
