"My husband & I rented the yurt for our 23rd Anniversary getaway. The property was exactly as pictured and described. The yurts are spaced nicely that you definitely have privacy and everything you need for your stay is provided from toiletries to firewood. The yurt was very nicely furnished, and the bed was super comfy. All the cooking utensils were in great shape and everything you needed to cook/bake was provided. The app/link that the owners provided for check in/check out was easy to use and included helpful information such as local attractions/restaurants/stores which was greatly appreciated. The only thing that I feel would benefit would be some sort of steps in/out of the hot tub. It would make it easier and less dangerous for those of us who are vertically challenged lol. We will definitely recommend this place to others and would definitely stay here again."

"Starlit Haven Yurt was an awesome place to stay over a gorgeous fall weekend. The yurt and grounds were very clean and organized. All basics provided (foil, saran wrap, coffee, variety of glassware, dishes, all utensils/tools, soaps, shampoos, sponges). After checking in on Friday we took in the splendor of the leaves and made a nice dinner of soup and grilled cheese using the provided pans and utensils. The fire pit was great to sit around in the evening and we built quite a large fire with the wood provided. Saturday morning we had reservations to a horseback trail ride near Cook State Forest. 45 min away from the yurt, but definitely worth it! On Saturday night, we used the Weber grill to prepare our entire meal of veggies and filets. The hot tub was very relaxing and kept it's heat going strong for a long time! We even had deer come up close to our balcony to check us out. All the yurts are spaced out so privacy isn't an issue. You can't really see the others from anywhere while on the patio, so nudity isn't a problem if it's your thing! The nights got a little chilly, but extra blankets were there and they were cozy and soft. The checkout process was quick and uncomplicated. Will be back! A few things that could be better: 1. It would be great if they provided a fly swatter. We had to use a dish towel to kill them. 2. It said towels were provided, but only 2 towels and 1 wash cloth was there. 3. The hot tub was VERY chlorinated! 4. No ice or freezer!"

"Cool property to explore, Angry Goat restaurant was great, The Brewery, coffeehouse, mini golf, dinosaurs, dragons and goats! No television, so really peaceful. Host had snacks and water for us and we went to Angry Goat for a bag of ice which they gave free! "

"had everything I needed. was spot less clean and very comfy. price was very reasonable. anything you could want or need was close by. bed was firm but comfortable. had a pleasant decor, other people there very friendly, especially staff. plenty of HOT water. only down side pillows were quite small, needed bigger or more of them. will definitely stay there again if in area"

"I came across this amazing Yurt on VRBO and fell in love immediately! Hubby and I needed to get away from the normal everyday stresses and this was perfect! Every detail to this Yurt inside and out was beyond amazing! We are making this Horizontal Hideaway our spot! Can't thank you enough!"
