We had a wedding nearby and we had 10 adult family members stay here. It managed to swallow us all up with plenty of room for your own quiet space. We enjoyed our stay here and I thoroughly recommend it.
Such a great property for families or friends. The house itself is big and spacious with multiple living spaces so plenty of room to spread out. The property is amazing with great views and awesome outdoor areas for entertaining. There was so much to explore and we had a great time walking around the property and looking at all the old farm equipment. The hosts were very friendly and super easy to deal with. My family had a great time!
Beautiful place away from the hustle and bustle. The property had everything you need. Love the pool table, table tennis and beautiful outdoors where you can enjoy a BBQ. Thank you
We stayed at the property for a combined family break. It had something for everyone with the games area, wonderful outdoor space, large clean bedrooms, wonderful kitchen with all the necessary supplies and more and three sitting areas which gave everyone space to relax over the weekend. Hosts were organised with checkin and area information and were easy to contact for queries before and during our stay. We have already enquired to book again for the group next year!

Country cleaning getaway
The surrounds of the property were super fun and interesting! Great outdoor fire pit. The inside was a disaster zone - absolutely filthy, half eaten pie in the oven, dirty bathrooms, had to clean the fridge ourselves, furniture and blinds falling apart…
The property was listed as allowing dogs but in reality the owner isn’t keen and tried to charge a fee for them to stay only outside, so maybe better to change it to a dog-free property?
Great spacious areas like the kitchen, lounge and dining area. Bedrooms were all generous size. Slept the whole family.
Some points for consideration if you are looking at this property.
- It was dirty - we had to wash dishes and cutlery (caked on food dried on the cutlery and cooking utensils) when we arrived and the shower in the master bedroom had dirt on the walls. We knew it would be dusty as the host had warned us of the dust in the whole area, but we were disappointed this was how dirty other parts of the home were.
While some parts of the home look like they have been well cared for, it looks like it could do with an update in some areas (hanging blinds broken with no pulls ) and couch outside was filthy dirty. Mattresses were old and sunken in (master was particularly bad) and the doona cover in one of the downstairs bedrooms looked grey from dirt and age.
We loved our stay and will be back sometime soon, thanks heaps,
rob c.

Loved our stay
Four couples spent a fantastic weekend enjoying this beautiful property. Everything plus more was provided we had a full baked dinner on the Saturday night to celebrate Christmas in July and it was the same as being at home
Photos don’t do this place justice!Stunning location, big rambling house with verandah that surrounds the whole house. Massive kitchen. Enough rooms for all. 2 baths (one a spa). Views to die for. Excellent for children.
We celebrated my sisters 50th bday here on the weekend and it was an Amazing house, the views were spectacular and the serenity even better,John and Laureen were so helpful and easy to talk too xx Cant thankyou enough, your property was just perfect for our Family Celebrations Thanks agai Heidi Freer
Dumbarton house was the best setup for our recent family weekend stay. Absolutely large enough to accommodate for our group of 8 . The home came with everything you needed to be comfortable with. The grounds are brilliant, full of things to explore. The awesome view gave you a feeling of so much serenity.
We highly recommend Dumbarton for a getaway and definitely enquire about the amazing party shed up the top for functions it looks amazing. A country hide away one must explore.

The location was perfect for our event and the size of the venue was outstanding. Inside was clean given it is on a dry property however having to provide your own linen and the quality of pillows, towels and dunas was poor. I would have expected more for$700 a night. It’s a great building and the outside areas are expansive, the old decor and grotty outside lounges don’t help. Having fun things like the table tennis and pool table were great.
Had an amazing weekend on this beautiful property. Slept 12 comfortably with lots of activities and facilities. The listing and photos are very accurate, in fact the photos don't do the view justice. The hosts were absolutely lovely and helpful. Highy recommend!
We stayed at this property for two nights with family it was nice to escape without having to travel too far! Very quiet & nice to sit outside overlooking the property!
