Cauldhame Stable Cottage

We spent two weeks in this lovely cottage: on our arrival we found several welcome gifts, which made us feel welcome. On top of that, everything was thoroughly cleaned. The kitchen is well equipped and we found everything that we could possibly need for providing a family of four with some delicious meals. Thank you so much for everything!

Fantastic Place

What a wonderful place stable cottage is. We were looking for somewhere to relax,chill and catch up and this ticked all the boxes.The accomodation is the nicest i have ever stayed in and is of a really high standard with lots of extras that you dont expect in a holiday let .Bev and Drew were lovely and have thought of everything .They left us a welcome pack that included fresh eggs from the chickens which we really appreciated. Outside there are rabbits,red squirrels ,pheasants and chickens roaming about which was so lovely and the views at night are spectacular. This is one trip i will always remember and definately planning a return visit.

Felt Like Home

The cottage was charming and cozy, but at the same time spacious (particularly the kitchen), and modern in terms of appliances, fixtures, electrical, etc. It was very well equipped with everything we needed at hand. It sits outside of Dunblane on a hillside with great views. The drive in is a little challenging but we got used to it. The cottage served us, a couple in our 70’s, as a base of operations for day trips to Edinburgh (about an hour and 15 minute drive), nearby Stirling, St.Andrews, and even the Highlands and Loch Ness. It was always a welcoming place to return to at the end of the day.

Schönes Cottage in wundervoller Lage! Größe genau richtig für 3-4 Leute. Insgesamt alles da was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub in Schottland braucht.

Alles Super, wie beschrieben alles vorgefunden. Einen guten Internetzugang darf man nicht erwarten, aber sonst ist alles grundsolide und schön eingerichtet. Wir werden wieder kommen!

Dunblane Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stone Cottage! The Wilsons were attentive and could not have been lovelier! The property was gorgeous, with views of hills and valleys. The cottage interior was well appointed, and the Wilsons left delicious treats for us upon arrival. We'd love to return!

Tolles Haus, schöne Location

Wir hatten eine wunderbare erste Urlaubswoche in diesem cottage Nahe Dunblane. Unser Hund war auch dabei, sodass das Haus und sein Gelände perfekt für Gassirunden waren. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden sicher wiederkommen. Ein großer Dank geht hiermit an Bev und Drew, die dafür gesorgt haben, dass es uns an nichts fehlt. Danke auch für das Arrangieren des kleinen privaten Auftritts der Kanadischen Pipers. Das war definitiv ein tolles Erlebnis. Herzliche Grüße Giuseppina, Patrick, Gwen und Luis (dem Hund)

Wunderbares Cottage in der Natur nicht weit von den städtischen Zentren entfernt

Sehr schönes Cottage mit zwei Schlafzimmern, einer modernen Küche und einem gemütlichen Wohnzimmer. Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Alles sehr zu empfehlen!

Remote yet Central

An excellent property located in Sheriffmuir, remote yet only 2 miles from both Dunblane & Bridge of Allan. Both have good restaurants & shops. The cottage is within 1 hour’s drive of both Edinburgh & Glasgow, while just 5 minutes drive from Stirling.

Wonderful wee break!

gorgeous location, just remote enough to feel like we were away from it all with great forest walks on our doorstep but with Dunblane, Stirling etc within driving distance. Great clean and well equipped cottage (lovely to get some fresh eggs from the hens on arrival) with regular visits from pheasants, red squirrels, escapee chickens 😆 and red kites.. really quite a special place to base ourselves from!

Amazing stay!

We loved our stay. We only had a week in Scotland, but enjoyed every minute. The house is slightly remote, which we loved. Centrally located for easy day trips in any direction. Bev was so friendly and had homemade jam and shortbread cookies for us on arriving. Delicious. Would definitely recommended staying here. We loved it.

Beautiful stable cottage

We were greeted by Bev at her country stable cottage. She provided a freshly baked loaf of bread and homemade jam which were both delicious. The cottage was very comfortable for 2 couples and was outfitted with everything we could possibly need. Nearby Dunblane was convenient for both groceries and restaurants. It was a lovely location and a wonderful 3 day stay.

Fantastic cottage!

Such a lovely stay. Central to Dunblane and Stirling with easy access to Trossachs etc. Got to visit so much. Bev and Drew were very accommodating. Lovely and cosy cottage. Would definitely recommend and will definitely plan to return! Thanks for a much needed peaceful break away x

Great peaceful location, spectacular surroundings

We rented the cottage at short notice after our Greek holiday fell through last minute in August. We ended up having one of our best family holidays at this cottage. It was clean; Bev the manager was very welcoming and our special requirements were also accommodated (anti-allergic bedding). The cottage is conveniently located for sights and outdoor activities, as well as some great restaurants nearby. Our 2 children loved exploring the area. Highly recommended accommodation.

An excellent week in Stable Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stable Cottage. It was clean and well maintained and the beds were really comfy. The provisions Bev left for us were very welcome and the gooseberry jelly was delicious. Drew very kindly left kindling and peat for us and we had a few roaring fires in the evening. The grounds were lovely to walk in and Dunblane is very close with a variety of places for coffee and food. There is a very good butcher if you choose to cook and the Sherrifmuir Inn is fabulous if you don't (600 yards from cottage). The Trossachs are within easy reach as are many historical sites. Don't buy sandwiches if you visit Loch Katrine! We would highly recommend Stable Cottage and hope to visit again next year.
