Cozy Bear Den at Purgatory Ski Resort (Angelhaus #109) is in a great ski location! This one-bedroom condo is at Purgatory Resort and about a one-block walk to the ski lift and the Main Plaza where you will find shops, restaurants, ski rentals and more. The condo is on the ground level with NO STAIRS and free parking. The Angelhaus building has a hot tub for guest use, ski lockers, and coin laundry.

This condo has a large screen TV with streaming service and Chromecast, plus a sleeper sofa, wood-stove fireplace and deck with seating and a grill. There is a full kitchen with dishwasher, bar seating and a desk. Cute little bunk room inside the queen bedroom - great for young kids. The remodeled bathroom has a walk-in shower.

PURGATORY SKI MOUNTAIN LOCATION: This condo is located at Purgatory Ski Resort in the San Juan Mountains. Purgatory is 25 minutes north of downtown Durango and is known as a family-friendly ski resort. It has 105 trails, including 5 terrain parks, over 1,500 skiable acres and 12 lift. The resort boasts an average annual snowfall of 260 inches. Purgatory Resort offers a variety of activities and amenities that cater to families, including ski lessons, childcare and a variety of restaurants. It is a more affordable option that some of the other ski resorts in Colorado, has a good mix of terrain for all ability levels, and stunning views. If you're looking for a resort that offers something for everyone, staying at this condo at Purgatory is a great option!

SUMMER AT PURGATORY: Purgatory boasts a bike park accessible by chair lift, an alpine slide, mountain coaster, and treasure panning. There are also hiking trails, jeep tours, and watercraft rentals on Twilight Lake. Purgatory hosts various events throughout the summer, such as live music concerts, festivals and bike races.

NO PETS: Due to HOA rules, the condo (and all condos in the building) is not pet friendly. Please do not bring your pets/emotional support animals.

COOLING: Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years). Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Grateful for no stairs! Cozy place!
We enjoyed the condo and it came with all the kitchen needs! Very responsive host to a couple questions! If you want a quiet place away from the hustle of the city this is perfect! My husband has knee issues so we were grateful for no stairs!

Great property- walking distance to ski lift. Very clean. Just a few things that weren’t great- we are a family of 5 and planned to use the pull out sofa for a bed. It was a good size with a comfortable mattress but no bedding! We texted the property manager and they said they would contact cleaning staff but we never heard back from them. We ended up stripping a blanket off the king bed but then we were cold that night. Bedding and a few extra blankets would have been wonderful. We walked to the hot tub, went out in the cold to get in and the code didn’t work, texted the property manager and didn’t hear back for a bit. Walked back to room, then got a response which was not convenient. The bunk beds are two tiny beds in the master closet. They are crib size mattresses. If you have kids older than 10/11 they will not fit. The description should be clear on those beds. We made the best of these small inconveniences and still enjoyed our stay.

Super easy access to skiing, just a few minutes walk out the front door and you are the base of the high speed 6 pack. And at the end of the day, find the "secret" trail to ski right back to the front door. Bring your own food to cook in the condo as dining options are limited.

Nice Place!
We had a great time, most of our day was spent away from the apartment, but when we got back in the evenings it was very comfortable. The kitchen had great appliances and everything we needed for cooking meals. The only thing that would have been better would be if the bedroom had blackout or darker curtains because the light in the mornings woke us up every day. Would definitely stay here again.
