"We love this place. Have been there 3 times with our dogs. Walking them is so easy there is a large green area just outside or a walkway around the estate, just what you need early morning and bedtime.
The staff are great they are professional courteous and friendly. Emma the manageress is a joy and works really hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. The chef also needs a shout also, the meals are top class. "
"We had a really lovely stay. The food was very nice. There is so much to do at the Woolpack. They have lots of games such as darts and pool. It is incredibly homely. We visited in the winter and we were made very welcome. "
"I stayed in found floor room. Looked tired and is need of decorating. Shower was adequate-plenty of hot water but not very powerful. Windows needed cleaning. Room on whole was clean although stain on duvet cover. Bed comfy. Not staff at hotel so you had to phone through to another hotel for assistance. No food available and a list of take away places for breakfast. "
"very good all-round. A lot more there than I realised when I booked the room - perhaps more information would have been helpful - very clean, very spacious and very quiet
"
"Our experience was amazing. The room was so cosy, clean and warm. A beautiful bath with gorgeous toiletries supplied. The owner and son were so friendly and helpful. They have a dry room which was great for our hiking gear. The breakfast was the best breakfast I've ever had at any hotel, b&b or guest houses. Will definitely be back again. "
"What an amazing hostel! Perfect location and lovely building, The panelled lounge full of lovely leather sofas, books and a roaring fire was particularly fine. Staff were friendly and accommodating, the beer was good and the full english veggie breakfast the ideal precursor to some stiff walking. "
"Really enjoyed our weekend here. Staff are really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. We had a meal and it was lovely. Breakfast was cooked just how we like it. It was a good base for exploring the area too. "

"Renovations had started which I was warned about. Excellent service, nice room (did sound like the people in the next room were using my bathroom at night), sound proofing is my only complaint. Fantastic staff, great food and decent location."

"This is such a special place, historic, scenic, homely, warm and welcoming. The garden suite was outstanding and the food quality excellent. The only thing I could possibly complain about was the Guiness as sad as that is. It frustrates me incredibly when I order a branded draught beverage and it comes in a different branded glass. The Guiness was poured in one go whereas the connoisseurs of the black beauty recognise and appreciate it’s a slow patient process leaving mid way to stand for a while. I did not like to inform the extremely pleasant and obliging Italian barman in the error of his ways. Apart from that minor misdemeanor we can’t wait until we return. "

"This was our second stay and it didn't disappoint. The only issue was on arrival with there being feather bedding in the room which we'd spectacled to be removed prior to arrival. However as soon as I mentioned it , it was resolved and non feather replacements were in place immediately.
Service at breakfast and check in was excellent as was the super fresh breakfasts. Fresh fruit , beautifully cooked choice too.
Staff were great and when I asked for some toothpaste as we'd forgotten ours we were provided with some , again immediately. The surroundings, furnishings are all great.
Home cooked treats at the entrance are a lovely touch.
Thanks guys and hope to see you again soon. "

"Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location overlooking Hope park. The room was immaculate, the bed was great, bathroom spotless and the views have to be some of the best in Keswick. ALL the staff were very helpful and the hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was also fantastic with everything local and fresh. All in all a fantastic place to stay, thank you."
"Unique, beautiful property. I was really well looked after, cakes and biscuits in the afternoon. The breakfast was amazing-couldn’t fault a thing. My room was very comfortable and had everything I needed.
I would absolutely recommend a stay here and would love to return one day. "
"On arrival was concerned as there was wedding taking place at the hotel, lots of people. We were greeted by Rose on reception who was friendly and informative. We stayed in room 111 which had a wonderful view of the sea and st bees head, I found this to be very impressive, the room was comfortable with heating and tea making facilities. Our room was quiet and we didn't get disturbed by the wedding. We enjoyed the closeness of the beach and walked up at bees head which is a must if you stay here.
Overall our stay was wonderful, I unfortunately left behind my chargers, I called Rose who kindly packaged them up and attached a label for them to be sent back to me.
Thank you Seacote hotel "
