"We booked here a bit last minute after some changes to our plans. It's an odd venue - it seems quite new and very well laid out, rooms are spacious and comfortable, rooms fittings all great - and yet there seems very little else going on in St Helens. I can only assume a lot of travellers use the town as a break on longer trips. It certainly wasn't busy while we visited mid January. "We stayed in January with 5 people for 4 nights in two of the bay view lodges. They were located side by side, so spending time together was no problem. We were extremely lucky with the weather and never needed the heating. However even if it would have been colder that wouldn’t have been a problem as there is heating all ariund the lodges. " Incredible location - looks out to sea, close access to a superb beach. Kids loved the sheep paddock next door, rabbits marauding on the lawn and the little penguins did not disappoint. Gorgeous bedding, and bedrooms have great light. Not ideal with small children - there is a long flight of stairs to the upstairs bedroom, the front door slams with great force. Limited groceries available in Bicheno, but the Lobster Shack took good care of us. "

"A nice quaint place to stay while you are on the East coast drive. Its a bit dated but quite nice. The people at the front desk are friendly and helpful. The cottage we stayed in had 4 units and individual parking for each unit. There is not much of note in Swansea except a really nice patisserie down the road. Its very quiet and you can hear the surf. 8/10 "

"Loacation: Wonderful!!! The property is located in the small community of Falmouth so you will need to drive everywhere. Although you have to drive the distances are not far to the Bay of Fire, Binalong Bay or Peron Dunes. It is a self contained small house that has a huge yard which stretches to the ocean. Views are fantastic. Lots and lots of space! Fully equiped house with huge bathroom. So tranquil its hard to describe. Certainly would stay here again."
