"On traditionally bleak winters day in south west Dorset this hotel was warm and welcoming, spacious and well presented rooms. Breakfast was well cooked and served promptly. A strong 9/10 because although you should never judge a book by the cover, this hotel lets it self down with it's exterior presentation"
"It was our second stay and Winyards and again it was amazing. Everything you could possibly need is in the room, and the pub and food offered are fab. The staff are super friendly and helpful. It's a great dog friendly stay! "

"Very helpful and obliging hosts. At the last minute we had to cancel however up to then they couldn’t have done enough to try and make our stay run smoothly. Thank you. "
"We had a lovely welcome from Rupert who was an excellent host. Our room was spacious with everything we required - even fresh milk. Breakfast was perfect with fresh fruit and yogurt, cereal and a choice of cooked breakfasts which were cooked to perfection. My gluten free diet was catered for very well. Can highly recommend."
"Quiet and comfortable, with an exceptional value for money. Nice look and reasonable space. Hot drinks and snacks provided, plus fridge. Very close to town centre and easy to access / park. Only minor negative was a noisy hot water pipe, which only happened infrequently, otherwise an excellent time had by all."
"Location opposite the Abbey was fantastic the pub restaurant was amazing best breakfast we have had anywhere will definitely stay again on our next visit "
"What a lovely place!
The room was surprisingly large with a more than spacious bathroom and both really clean.
The adjoining pub/ restaurant had a really good atmosphere with a good range of beers. Staff were really nice friendly willing to help out wherever they can.
I strongly recommend booking a table as from what I could see the place is very popular and you do t want to miss out on trying the food! "
