The place was not accurately advertised. Not one, but TWO travel trailer VERY close by that oversee INTO the house and hot tub. Claims to be a smoke free property, but the people that stay in the trailers SMOKED everyday and it blew into ANY open windows, especially the master bedroom. The whole house was filthy, other people's hair on night stands and all over the showers, dirty dishes, dried food chunks on the counters and floors. The beds were covered in thick noisy plastic, not the proper mattress protectors and the sheets were not freshly laundered. It was infested with a beehive in the wall that made it impossible to exit or enter through the front door, bees kept getting INSIDE the house. My 3 year old was stung in the FACE just under her eye which then swelled so much she couldn't see out of it for 5 days. The hot tub was 10-14 inches low on water, no hose or water source in sight to fill it up and 100% no chlorine in it, we found test strips in the laundry room after we lifted the lid and saw how cloudy, and green the water was. Contacted owner several times, she completely ignored my request for an exterminator for the bees, my request about when the hot tub was last tested ETC. Anyone considering staying here DON'T - to anyone who has read the other responses from the owner saying the reviews were lies - I have tons of pictures and video and will send it to anyone who asks, just email me at BettyDowright@gmail.com

Needs Improvement
You can tell this is the first time the owner has listed a property on VRBO. Many things were missing from the listings, most annoying of all was a lack of handles on any draws or cabinets in the kitchen or adequate cooking supplies for making meals. Tiny pans are provided which might be good for cooking for an individual but certainly not a group. This area of Washington suffers from high iron content in the water and the owner did little beyond provide clean drinking water to alleviate this. The showers smelled like blood and had stained the walls and floor giving the bathroom a really nasty appearance. Worst of all, the washing machine stained our clothing red, ruining about $500 worth of garments. No warning was given for this. Sleeping at night is uncomfortable with no ceiling fans in the bedrooms and a broken AC unit in the master. Additionally, there are two RV homes parked within 30ft of the property that were not mentioned in the listing. On the bright side, at least the hot tub did work and the surrounding woods are pretty. Overall I think if they could improve some things like the kitchen and adding a soft water unit, I could recommend this place but at this time I cannot.

Nice place to stay
Overall the property was absolutely spotless. One of the cleanest places I’ve stayed. Had all of the amenities to feel like home. I wish there was more of a heads up that there are TWO camper trailers within 50ft of the front door. The hot tub is tucked off the side of the house though so that felt private. My daughter also adored the koi pond. Only other down side is the iron in the water. I was warned about it but it was much worse than I anticipated. It didn’t feel safe to use the water to even brush our teeth. We opted to shower at a friends place.

This is the cleanest vrbo I have ever encountered. The house is roomy and excellent for family conversations and board games. Paper towels and napkins would make a happy addition. Great location!

Good location, property ok
Pros: The property is in a great location near Mount Rainier and secluded in a beautiful setting in the woods. It is also fairly big with a lot of space indoors and outdoors. Check-in is very easy and the host was available for communication. Cons: There is only AC in one of the bedrooms so it was pretty hot at night in the other rooms in August. The showers were not the cleanest and the towel rack in the bathroom was broken. For the price it was annoying to have to wash and dry the towels we used when we wanted to leave early in the morning to get to the park.

The water is not drinkable, claims of iron levels being a problem, but the Eatonville area has, over the years, had issue with water contaminants worse than iron. A water cooler is provided for drinking water. That detail is not in the description of the property. The Eatonville area has over the years had issues with many water contaminants worse than iron. Heavy staining everywhere water flows. This property may be on 5 acres but the the RV, with a family living in it, that overlooks the hot tub, the front door, and the master bedroom windows, both fit on what's easily less than half an acre. One of our party was woken up by children making noise outside the master bedroom. Pretty unreasonable to not disclose that staying here you won't be alone on the property. Towel rack was broken in one of the bathrooms.

Stay was nice. Good communication with owner. Place was fairly clean. Hot tub was not used because it wasn’t super clean, but not a big deal. Fairly easy access to the national park.

Accessible to Mt Rainier
Nicely updated home with all the conveniences. Didn’t try the hot tub, but it looked nice. Good communication with owner, easy access. Close to Eatonville and about 45-60 mins to Mt Rainier. Only improvement I would’ve liked would be an AC unit in the master bedroom, but it was also unseasonably hot in the area, so might not be an issue most summers. Comfortable and roomy for our family of three adults and two teens.

Great start - terrible finish.
The location and open floor plan of this house is great! But the communication:expectation is a no go for me. Pulling in I see that there are not 1 but 2 RV's on the property. The first one being slightly uphill and about 30 feet away. Those folks are there to watch over the property, i.e. you. It's as awkward as it sounds. The second one has small children that I only saw in the first few minutes that I arrived and when we left. Once inside the house I did the typical walk through and could not believe the brown water stained showers and tubs. It's so bad in the master bath the all but two of our guests used the guest bath to shower. Before I arrived, I received an email stating that said, "We have had 2 bad experiences. Where to different groups had kids and ripped our towel racks down of the walls". Well one of our adult guests did bump the towel rack and it came off the wall some. I looked and saw that it was very poorly mounted. I would also like to state that you should not have to warn people about towel racks being "ripped off the walls". That's not normal at all. After round 3, I would have to assume that the real issue is poorly mounted towel racks. We did leave 3 small cardboard boxes because we didn't know the recycling rules. The kiddos were allowed sparklers and pop-its. Not fireworks. The real fireworks went off starting @3 each day with massive booms and went until midnight. These were very close to the house by others.

Great value for the money
Couldnt figure out TV and would've been nice to use the hot tub, but it was covered and no instructions. When I asked a question, owner was prompt to respond, but wish there were instructions how to use TV and some kind of note about "if you want to use the hot tub....." this is what you do. Over all lovely home, clean and very good value for the money.

Check in process was easy and great. She sends a welcome message around 1pm with all details needed. House is beautiful and clean. Roomy and has everything you will need. Hot tub was amazing. Fire place was the best part for me. Has a cute fire pit! The 2 long term tenants there were very kind and didn’t bother us at all! 10/10 will be back.
