Apartments in Ecuador

"Arriving at 8pm from the airport we discovered - as had four other guests booked via various platforms - that the 'hotel' had to send us a QR code in order that we could check in for a room we had paid well in advance. Much messaging of the 'hotel' they kept assuring us that the guard knew we were coming, guard kept saying (correctly) that we needed a QR code. "Beautiful building with very good amenities. To use the pool or jacuzzi, the owner needs to make a reservation at least 24 hour ahead. Paid for adding breakfast but needed to walk 5 minutes to a restaurant to get that. Dressing for the cold weather and going out is not convenient. To use the laundry you must download an application and create an account. "

"The neighborhood itself was a little rough and walking around required heighten awareness. The property was very secure. There were four doors and four keys to get it to the apartment. Three of them were iron security doors. Orlando was very accommodating and friendly and the little watch dog, I called Scooter, was a treat. He welcome me with cheerful tail wags and calf nudges every time I returned to the apartment."

When I asked about secure parking she pointed up the hill. It was too much effort for her to show me how to use this seperate area. "This apartment was very nice inside , it has all the appliances that you need, the only thing i didn't like is that the power was off several times due to the lack of rain, and the apartment was a little cold for my taste."
