Loved the location, easy access to both old and new town. Walkable and central to all attractiona, restaurants and shopping. Clean, confortable and spacious My only gripe is: I wished there is a way to get in touch with the property manager other than a local phone number. The TV in the bedroom did not work and the toilet paper holder in the barhroom was torn from the wall upon our check in.

This is a brand new, beautiful property about 10 mins walk to High Street. We walked from the train station in about 20 mins. Not everyone will want to do this but it worked for us. It’s on a fairly major street but away from noisy traffic. Entry and exit was easy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would recommend that the large window in the apartment be repaired as it is at ground level. Thanks to Stuart for a lovely stay.

The property was very clean. The towel warmers didn’t work however. Location was not bad but no public transportation without considerable walk. Need more towels (one per guest for multiple stays not sufficient). Emails to property not answered.

We were not happy with the cleanliness of the property when we checked in. The bedsheets had stains, beds not made and there was human hair on sheets. The owner attended to them the next day, so we (4 including kids ) had to sleep on a single bed that night which was needless to say very inconvenient. Also our clothes got stuck in the washing machine ( probably it didn’t operate right ) and the owner wasn’t willing to ship them to us ( we were ready to pay shipping charges ) upon repeated requests. Overall not a great experience and we will never again book such Airbnb style facilities.

Overall it was a beautiful space. I would stay here again. It was very cozie and beautifully decorated. My only critique would be for the cleaning crew to pay closer attention to detail. The electric water kettle had mold in it, there were some dirty dishes left in th cabinets that had not been washed. Also would suggest more check ins as far as refilling the toilet paper and laundry detergent. We had to buy our own after asking for more. Everything else was kept nicely.

Property was excellent;HOWEVER, one big problem and a few minor recommendations. ALL the interior doorknobs are almost impossible to turn. Some aged folks and those with problems using their hands to turn a jar lid or door knob could find themselves locked in the bathroom! Replace ALL knows with knobs containing fulcrums. Also have a printed handout to tell folks how to operate the shower, dishwasher,etc. Non Europeans are unfamiliar with some of these product. Also have a list of recommended restaurants etc. The place was impeccably clean and new. Overall a really nice visit, but change those doorknobs!!!

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at 33 Castle Terrace. It was exactly as it is depicted in photos. It’s located on a quiet street away from more densely populated areas of Edinburgh. The apartment was newly renovated —very clean, comfortable, and beautifully furnished. There are stunning castle views right outside the door. A grocery store is conveniently located just up the street, and you are within walking distance to a park and children’s playground. The apartment is within walking distance to the Castle, Old Town, the Royal Mile, Deans Village and just about every other popular location if you’re up for a short trek. If you need an Uber they are able to pick you up right outside your door. The tram stops just a few blocks away, and Waverley station is a 12-15 minute walk (with luggage in tow). The property manager responded promptly and was very flexible, friendly, and easy to communicate with. We would happily stay at 33 Castle Terrace again, and would absolutely recommend it to anyone else.
